Lovely staff, all friendly and proud of the Inns History. We were there on a very quiet night! Lovely large room with a 4 poster bed and excellent bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast beat us, freshly prepared as we came down.

Stayed here for one night. The hotel staff were super warm and welcoming. Loved the hotel room. Had all the basic amenities like toiletries and heating. English breakfast that they provide was excellent and delicious! Highly recommended!

Very clean room, lovely well kept pub run by excellent staff. If I could offer any advice to the owners it would be; a shelf in the shower for bottles, and make it perfectly clear that evening meals are not available. It's a bit ambiguous in the property description. Other than that, all good. The breakfast is fantastic, and excellent value.

Lovely pub/hotel. Very friendly. We didn't opt for breakfast, just by our choice. Only problem is the regulars told us there is no where around to grab food other than order

Room was clean however there were some areas that needed repairs to be finished. The door to the room was a front door with glass panels that let a lot of light in and were difficult to cover over. Also the tv lost it's connection so couldn't watch any programmes.

could not fault the Oak Tree Inn, clean and tidy

The oak tree inn was a good choice for a one night stay. The drinks were nice and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was nice and clean. Tv remote was very slow and shower wasn't great. Bed was only a double and prefer king size but was fine for stop over stay

Fantastic two night stay in a great establishment. Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast to die for and proper pub on site to enjoy a great pint, local friendliness and some brilliant evening entertainment. I’ll definitely be back. 👍❤️

Lovely country pub in good location for local tourist sites with friendly and attentive staff. Stayed for one night whilst visiting Beamish Living Museum, nice room, friendly bar downstairs and full cooked breakfast available in the morning. Will be happy to return and would recommend to others.

Not a nice experience, toilet was filthy and the shower had not been cleaned and the bed linen had black bits on it, told the owner about it, he couldn't get me another room, so it had to be cleaned but I couldn't get the thought out of my head

The landlady who checked us in was amazing! She was really sociable and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was spot on too. Great stay!

Nice local pub, everyone was friendly. Room was nice and clean but could do with some cosmetic upgrades e.g mirror had 3 cracks. Bed was lovely and comfortable but I would have preferred if it had mattress and pillow protectors. Breakfast was £7.50 - cereals, fruit juice, cooked breakfast and toast. The poached eggs were spot on.
