Would have been perfect if not for the strong smell of sewerage emitting from our bathroom. Luckilly we were able to close the door and open the windows to the bedroom so that we could sleep. We brought the smell to the attention of the person checking everyone out however she didn't seem to understand what we were saying... mostly becausd of the language barrier. Aside from that the place was beautiful and the meal in the restaurant was wonderful. Location is also perfect for spending a day too exploring. We would stay again provided the smell is gone.

Everything was great! Wish it had A/C.

I was surprised with the lack of cleanliness for a hotel that was almost 400/night. I had to spend the first 40 minutes of our stay to undue the bed as the bed sheet was tucked in. As I went to fix it I noticed the amount of hair/dog hair/other fluff etc underneath the sheet on the mattress cover. It was absolutely disgusting. Once I removed all of that using an entire lint roller we settled in. There was no dog bowl or anything provided in the room even though they are pet friendly and you are charged extra for the dog. The doorway to balcony was also defunct and wouldn’t close at times. The receptionist always seemed bothered by us initiating any convo when we had questions. She seemed annoyed. The breakfast that was I believe was almost 40 dollars was extremely underwhelming. We were given 3 tiny buns and 2/3 half slices of bread, a few small slices of cheese and salami. Just very small. Not fulfilling. And again we felt bothersome when requesting more buns or cheese. Parking is also a disaster. You need to almost go around the block to park in a garage but you need to borrow a key from the receptionist who again just is annoyed to see you lol. I would not return here.

Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und einladend! Schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang vom Balkon aus. Das Restaurant "The George" serviert ein köstliches Abendessen und das vom Hotel angebotene Frühstück ist sicherlich köstlich. Ich kann das Weinhaus Uhle sehr empfehlen. Außerdem war es ein sehr schöner und einfacher Spaziergang zum Schloss Shwerin. In der Nähe gibt es so viele wunderbare Geschäfte, darunter ein Teeladen direkt gegenüber und ein Geschäft für Vintage-Kleidung im Block gegenüber vom Teeladen.

Beautiful old hotel with modern upgrades in the rooms. Excellent wines, perfect location!

Lovely hotel in a very quiet part of Schwerin, about 15 minutes walk from the railway station. Breakfast, although relatively expensive, was superb and well worth the money. Though not something I could manage every day. They have a very nice selection of wine and it would have been nice to have a bar area to enjoy these without going into the restaurant.

We arrived early and our room wasn't ready so they switched us to another room. Room was terrific, quiet, super clean, comfy bed. We had drinks in the lovely bar in the evening. The hotel is centrally located, everything is correct on the hotel description. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to stop over in Schwerin overnight.

An historic building redone and made into a hotel, wine bar and gourmet restaurant...absolutely beautiful! Great location within walking distance to shops, transportation, Schwerin castle and the quaint town square

The rooms were fantastic .beds are so comfy .best ive experienced in years .shower perfect. Over all amazing .my only fault is the view from the balcony .wasn't great .

A beautiful hotel in a historic neighborhood.

Unbeatable location for staying in Schwerin, right in the heart of the cobblestone streets and alley cafes, with a delicious restaurant of its own! The breakfast was delicious, with a lovely variety of foods. No A/C and no fans available for rooms in the summer - it was quite warm. Amazing old old wine house with thick walls and lots of character, with modern minimalist amenities and decor. Balcony opened to center courtyard with other local residents' balconies. Very quiet, quaint, and memorable!

Weinbaus Uhle is an excellent restaurant that added new hotel rooms. It’s nicely located on a quiet street between cathedral and castle. The atmosphere is personal and friendly. There’s a fine traditional restaurant Zur Guten Quelle across the street.

This is such a beautiful hotel. It is a well appointed modern style hotel. The staff were so kind and helpful to us. It is situated in close to transportation, tourist attraction, shopping, and restaurants. We so enjoyed our stay.

This is an absolute gem of a hotel. Fantastic location, beautiful building, very comfortable, spacious and modern room, excellent breakfast. I've stayed in Schwerin 4 times in different hotels, this is the best by far and I will stay here again. I cannot fault this hotel in the slightest.
