The advert on Hotels.com specifically talks about spa facilities, saunas, massages etc. There are NONE of these available AT the hotel; you have to go half a mile down the road to the local health club (which was amazing, by the way), but cost another £30 or so for the evening. It is misleading to suggest the Hotel itself has these amenities. And the restaurant closed earlier than the host told me. I wouldn't book again.

Nice hotel but large wedding was taking place and the hotel staff were very busy preparing so not all areas were accessible to non wedding guests.

The one thing we missed was a lift. When you come with crutches and are allocated to a first floor room a lift is a fairly basic assumption. There was definitely room for one.

Decent enough place for the night, bad weather when I traveled by motorcycle so not a great experience.

Happy to return to this hotel after stopping 10 years previous. Conveniently situated and with no traffic noise with a good restaurant so more than happy to eat here, The only let down was the cooked part of breakfast which wasnt that good. Would happily stay here again to see more of the region or when travelling to Denmark for instance.

My ratings for overall and service were through the bottom. I gave a neutral score for everything else because I never got to stay. I booked the hotel and they contacted me and told me that they wanted my residential address and that their check in times are 15:00 to 18:00, so if I would check in after that, I had to let them know. I did let them know that I would arrive around midnight. So I turned up after midnight, exhausted after a very long drive from Birmingham but there was no way in. So I had to sleep in my car. They refused to refund me despite making no effort to accommodate my travel plans.

Second time here, will be back!

It was an unexpected gem on our (me and my two dogs) trip back to the UK. Very friendly and professional (covid-19). Arrived very late so no dinner experience. Judging from the very well laid out breakfast it should be great. The garden setting is a really nice place for any meal. With the river just a stroll away the surroundings are appealing and relaxing. I warmly recommend a stay here! Fan

The hotel is value for money for a business stay. Although I stayed there right after reopening, everything was organized. In the evening I had a meal in the restaurant and this was really good. The breakfast was average

We had a very comfortable night here. The room is very plain and characterless, but comfortable and clean. The main attraction is the dining room, which on a Saturday evening, had a really good atmosphere as it was very busy. Despite the number of customers, the members of staff were very efficient and attentive and good natured. I don't know what they're paid, but they deserve more! We unfortunately had to leave early, so can't comment on breakfast - it doesn't start until 8.00a.m. at the weekend. And don't forget to look upwards as you walk into reception for a surprise!

I absolutely loved this place. I came here on a road trip and used it as a stop-over with my dog. Absolutely amazing service, very clean room, and delicious breakfast. Price for having the dog was reasonable as was the breakfast price. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

The hotel was great! The staff are kind and pleasant. The on-site restaurant was wonderful.

Nice pleasant atmosphere , very "clean and bright" the beds could do with re-design as they are basically a box with a mattress on top, but otherwise and excellent stay, staff very helpful and the restaurant should have a Michelin star !!

Great hotel and location for the motorway, the only problem if been fussy the pillows were too soft...

Standard room but with everything we needed. Did not have fridge/freezer but they kept our cooler for us during the night. Breakfast buffet was good (they did not fill up on bread but had amazing chocolate spread bar).

Fantastic hotel en route to Sweden from France, excellent in all respects and we should have stayed longer.
