Interesting neighborhood built in the 1500's

A charming hotel in the very heart of Celle. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

An older hotel so the room was dated. However, it was clean and the bed provided a good sleep. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for exploring Celle!

We had a wonderful one night stay here in October 2023. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The breakfast was perfect.

Very friendly staff

Perfect location - Small Christmas Market down the street., Church with beautiful bells across the street. Found parking right out front. Lobby is a little off-putting - not very warm with its modern furniture and bar. Registration is tucked over in a corner- again, not not welcoming. Rooms are clean but spartan. Breakfast buffet good with hot coffee waiting at your table!

The location is ideal, right in the Altstadt across from the Rathaus. We were less than pleased when one morning the maid let herself into our room at 8:15, and that was in the middle of our stay. Shower stall very small and rather uncomfortable, with a shower floor that got extremely slippery when wet. We asked for a smoking room on arrival, and none were available, but we stayed there long enough that we thought we would have been given the opportunity to move into one if it became available. No such offer came. The mattress was awfully hard, and we had to get extra pillows, because the ones in the room were so small and flat there was nothing to them. The breakfast buffet was decent, though certainly not up to the standard we expected from this level of hotel. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in on our trip, and it didn't live up to our expectations based on the price. I would say that if one is traveling to Celle, look for a different hotel.

Short but very comfortable

The hotel is located in the city center of a lovely German city with historic old timber framed houses. It is across the street from three interesting historic sites. We chose this hotel because of the location. Though it is an old hotel our rooms were up to date. The rooms were European sized clean and comfortable, though the beds were a tad hard. There was an excellent breakfast buffet included in the price. We love these types of buffets when we travel in Germany because of the variety of items and the wonderful German bread. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location could not have been better. There was an available sauna that we did not make use of. There is a tiny bit of parking at the hotel, you have to ask at booking if there is available space. We parked at a public garage about 300 yards away which worked fine. There is some street parking nearby-use the garage. If you visit Celle this is the place to stay for location, location, location. Tourist interests, restaurants, banks, spas, park, playground, drug stores, groceries, bars, anything you need is a brief walk.
