We were staying for my nieces wedding. I had requested an early check-in earlier in the week to allow my son, whom has special needs and myself to change our clothes and get ready for the wedding. We enjoyed a nice lunch at the bluefin grill. Great food and service. We then went to guest services to check on our room The gentleman said he would check on it and call me when it was ready. We waited in our vehicle for about an hour. We then went back inside guest services to wait. We observed others being checked in early. The gentleman that I'd spoken with before said nothing to us. As the wedding time aproached. I went to a different person and my room was ready. I was very upset by this time. How long had our room been available with no one alerting us? We were extremely rushed to get ready for the wedding by this time. Later that night, we discovered that most tv channels did not work and some quit working while watching. We were also disappointed that the sauna was broken in the pool house. It was a very disjointed stay. We would look elsewhere in the area next visit up. A special mention though for a gentleman whom teaches kayaking there. I believe his name was Sean super nice and made my son happy and welcome.

I likely should have known “studio” meant sofa hideabed. So uncomfortable, the 3 cushion sections did not align, and we saw no way to move them. Deep depressions at shoulder level. Room had no blankets: I requested two and received one. Then realized we had no pillows. Breaking point. We headed back to Duluth by late afternoon. I’m sure many rooms are fine, and view from our balcony was great. Strongly recommend asking to see the room at checkin, reserving right to ask to see another room.

Had an issue with heat in our room. Staff got right on it. When it couldn’t be resolved they moved us out another room

This was a five star experience from ease of check-in to amenities, activities and location. We will definitely be back!!

We were given a room overseeing the highway and was not what we reserved for.

Beautiful area overlooking Lake Superior! Many things to from hiking the many trails close by to cross country skiing and snow shoes which are provided at the main office. Outdoor pool and sauna in the middle of winter is a unique experience that cannot be overlooked. Restaurant on site is fabulous with great food and wonderful staff!

It was a great place to stay. The lake shore grounds were picturesque with restaurants on each end and a boardwalk in between. The dinner and service at the Bluefin Grille were excellent, as was the breakfast at the Coho Cafe.

This was a 3 days stop over on a longer road trip. The resort is big with lots of amenities. Our stay included 4th of july so was very busy. At times was difficult to find parking and restaurant reservations were tough. One of the bedrooms had an amazing view of lake superior. Reading a book while looking out the window was a perfect combo. The lake walk was also fabulous. We didnt bring our dogs but seems to be very pet friendly. There were some small maintenance issues (eg: one window crank didnt work, ceiling fan broken but ac ok). Safe, clean, comfortable and great location

Stunning views ! Great restaurant /grill.

This clean, light-filled room had a beautiful, comfortable bed and nice walk-in shower. I appreciated the real coffee mugs next to the coffee maker! I’m so tired of the disposable cups I usually find in hotel rooms.
