Great for relaxing, birding and nature tripping. Lodging is clean and comfortable, food is excellent, and trails are clean. Highly recommended.

Many details in the landscaping, architecture of the buildings, and evidence of care given over the years to the upkeep of all buildings. A real pleasure to stay at such a well-presented property. Many bird varieties are seen from the veranda, and there are other fauna on the 320 hectare reserve.

This hotel has a nice mountain view and is located in the western slopes of the Ecuadorian Andes. Nice cloud forests full of birds an natural life. Food is good and the hotel has a cosy atmosphere. For hummingbirds lovers is the perfect spot!

Great experience at Sachatamia lodge. Welcoming staff despite language barrier. Great setting within the cloud forest with plenty of bird feeders to attract the local species. Great location for birding in and around the Mindo area with local bird guide Alex (who was excellent and speaks very good English) based nearby. Highly recommended.

Near Mindo in the cloud forest. Absolutely wonderful in every way!! Went on several birding trips.

The people working there are very nice and helpful. I have a problem with mold / mildew and had to request for them to clean my bathroom sink. Besides that everything was just fine.

Beautiful rooms in the woods with many opportunities for walking and seeing birds. But regarding service and breakfast not what you would expect of this type of hotel. Breakfast is basic. Staff are friendly and doing their job. Missed a more personal or famial approach. Staff member told us to be at the entrance of the hotel at 5.50 in the morning to watch birds with him, but did not show up.

Servicio excelente. Lugar muy tranquilo, como para relajarse totalmente. El estado y decoración de las cabañas muy lindo. Jacuzzi y piscina en excelentes condiciones.

Disfruté mucho de mi estadía porque buscaba un lugar para descansar, estar cerca de la naturaleza. La atención fue muy buena y las instalaciones de la Hostería me gustaron mucho, me gustó mucho la decoración
