Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean, though a few elements were just a little off: tv being on left wall not in-front of bed, very squeaky bed that kept waking me up, shower fixings that hadn’t been screwed in properly.

The beds were so comfortable, the breakfast delicious, staff all lovely & the hotel really stylish. Just a fantastic location right in the heart of Oxford & everything was walkable. We used the pear tree park & ride & it literally dropped us at the door, only cost £8 to park for the entire weekend & the buses were so regular - not worth parking in the centre as a longer walk to the car park & very pricey!

Absolutely beautiful, warm, excellent natural light, amazing terrace with superb view. The only downside is that I don't know how to work the Nespresso machine.

This was the third hotel we stayed at in Oxford, and it was by far the best. From the moment we arrived, with a clearly marked parking space ready for us, the service was attentive and helpful throughout our brief stay. The interior décor blends classic elegance with modern touches, including some beautiful contemporary paintings. Our room had a wonderfully comfortable bed, a well-equipped bathroom, and a breathtaking view over the High Street and the University Church of St Mary the Virgin. If it weren’t for the modern traffic below, it would have felt like stepping back in time. While it was windy and dark outside, the hotel’s warm, peaceful atmosphere made us feel instantly relaxed. Breakfast in The Quad Restaurant was excellent – a perfect way to start the day. A truly great hotel that we would be happy to return to.

Charming, clean, modern hotel in the heart of Oxford. Fun update of an old department store. Staff were so friendly. Desk clerk sat with us at check in for five minutes to discuss his favorite places in Oxford. Would definitely stay again! Also has a great bar.

The property was fantastic and was only bettered by the lovely and exceptionally helpful staff. I would recommend this property to anyone saying in Oxford. We stayed with two young children and were made to feel very welcome.

Despite paying over £500 per night i was given a room on first night which had a blanked out window ie no natural light - i was moved the next day but again very overpriced accommodation. Highly not recommended and you will see from my profile I have never felt need to complain! A very poor hotel.

Location is great. The hanging ball light is not working for my whole entire stay. Also, I expected the bed linens to be refreshed as I did not put the note for going green keeping the sheets. Another thing is the two plastics cups provided for tea and coffee seem kind of unpleasant. I rather they provide paper cups.

Really central and new hotel. Staff very friendly. However checkin was multi step and tedious. Room card has to be used 4 times to get in to lift, corridors and then room. Loved the breakfast.

Checked in on line prior to our visit, using our passports, but staff still insisted on seeing id when we arrived. Luckily I had my driving licence with me. The staff member that dealt with us regarding the id, treated us as though we were an inconvenience. Not the best welcome to the hotel. The younger member of staff that showed us to the lift was much more welcoming and pleasant. Lovely hotel decor, comfortable beds, complimentary drinks and chocolate in the room were appreciated. Great central location.

Lovely, modern boutique hotel centrally located. Opted to include breakfast and it did not disappoint. Also some nice touches in the room such as complementary still and flavoured waters in the fridge and a large chocolate bar. Only drawback was the lack of parking. Nearest car park was 15 minutes away and about £40 for 24 hours of parking. The staff were helpful as they have to bring a trolley to the nearest area available to stop the car for loading our luggage. Also, I realized later we were supposed to enjoy the benefits of a VIP upgrade but we never received anything (and I booked two rooms) but I happen to overhear the couple in front of me who were given a free upgrade to a suite - so not sure what happened. Nonetheless it was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again.
