Good location with a great size room. Friendly staff, good value breakfast. Bed was comfy and the room was quiet. Room hadn’t been checked properly as there was an empty deodorant can by the seating. Some issues with the in-room tablet and TV kept switching off at random times. Nice to have bottles of water in the fridge and good quality toiletries.

I was very hesitant to stay in a 3 star hotel, but this is one of the BEST hotels I’ve been to, and it’s because of their staff, they go above and beyond to make sure you have all that you need and are super accommodating. Hotel is simplistic but everything works, breakfast is good, super centric to everything and literally 10 minutes walk from the train station.

Location was perfect. Room was cozy and the bed was super comfortable.

Room was much smaller than anticipated and could not be described as a deluxe. No separate bathroom - it was part of bedroom which was not in room description Clothes hanging and hangers limited Coffee machine in room, useless as no coffee pods provided Lead on hairdryer had been shortened making it difficult to use TV purported to have lots of multi language channels, only a few obtainable in Dutch. Reported to reception but no change Staff very friendly and efficient Bed comfortable

Top three floors look good. 4th down very tired. We were on 2nd floor Deluxe room. Quite small we found and were pleased we didnt book a cosy room. The water came under the foor of the shower unit which made showering difficult. Someone asked what a Scottish breakfast was and the answer was like an English one. I have to say Someone needs to see what an English one is and it consists of more than The highlander one which was burnt cold bacon chopped omelette and cold mushrooms. There was cold boiled egg as well. The continental side of it was better. Having given the downside which was plenty, the staff were lovely and helpful. Im afraid i would not recommend this hotel

Facing a dodo street but very convenient to everything we wanted to see in Amsterdam. Friendly staff, spotless facilities and room. Great shower! Would stay again.

Great location steps from Dam Square and the tram stop is right in front of the hotel. Nice staff. Room is small for what you pay (but you’re paying for location so…). It was quiet despite being near it all. We did enjoy drinks from the bar; food at the bar is for if you’re in a pinch. Didn’t like the toilet in the bedroom… it was black. Who knows if that’s clean or not and it’s just strange.

Room was great but staff was not prepared for my arrival and then only made my keys work for one night instead of two. Minor inconvenience otherwise hotel was great and staff helped with the issue

We had a great stay, we had a mixup with the reservation and Baasat at the front desk helped us right away and took care of it. The room was super nice and comfy and had a great setup. Overall a fantastic stay in a nice area

Cool decor, modern and in good condition. Note they have very soft beds and huge hard pillows which are not for me. Woken up by drilling (rooms are not sound proofed), but I think this was probably from building next door to not hotel's fault!

All good thing around here, lots of reasonably priced food options breakfast is plentiful and fresh staffing attentive and always willing to help. Rooms are very small but all well equipped... Besides you don't go to Amsterdam to be in just a hotel room... So much to see and do no time to be in a hotel anyway. Leave for a boring city, this isa lot of fun here.

The Highlander Hotel was located next to a variety of different shopping experiences, excellent dining options and was extremely easy to walk to many different parts of the city. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and was immediately welcoming after a long travel day. We will definitely stay here again!!

Good location with tram stop just nearby. Upbeat decor, easy tech in the room. Staff were polite and welcoming. Good choice at breakfast. Bed matresses were very soft - may suit you but may not. Great to have ability to leave luggage after check-out whilst still exploring. I would suggest that management move the reception desk as it would be so easy for a guest to fall/step backwards off the steps that are directly in front of the table.

The Highlander is in a great area right in Central Amsterdam, there is access to all forms of transportation and majority of things are within walking distance. Our room was a little cold at times, despite adjusting the heating, especially the bathroom. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great stay. Girlfriends 30th birthday and I asked them to put some balloons and a banner in for when we arrived back after a day out that I’d bought over with me and they happily obliged. Very friendly and also constantly crispy bacon in the morning😂 would recommend
