The location is fantastic. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the amenities. The breakfast and dinner menus provided excellent options and the foods was delicious. Great selection of beers on tap, too. The restaurant staff and hotel staff were all extremely attentive and friendly. If we get the chance to return to Southampton, we will definitely stay at The White Star. Note: the hotel is at the corner of a hopping night spot on weekends. It can get noisy.

What a find! Loved this place from the moment we clapped eyes on it. Positioned right at the entry to restaurant row Oxford Street, the theme is definitely in keeping with the mammoth impact and relevance of the Titanic to Southampton but without any cringey cheesyness that one might fear in a themed setting. Lovely staff are welcoming and helpful, room utterly delightful, and the breakfast was truly THE best we’ve had at any stay in the UK. Thank you for having us (at such short notice!).

No elevator

Stayed here several times and had a great stay as always. Didn't eat this time in the evening but had a lovely pint of fullers. The breakfast was freshly cooked and a great start to the day. Lovely stay as always.

Our whole experience at this hotel was 2nd to none. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely young man, ( sorry, forgot his name) who got us checked in then helped us up to the top floor with our cases. Our room was compact but very clean and cosy. Only thing I could fault was we had coffee pods but no coffee machine?? Apart from that small glitch we loved our stay. Breakfast was superb & all the staff were lovely. Would definitely stay here again ...... plus they had lovely beers at the bar!

Our second time staying here pre cruise. It didn't disappoint. A lovely room. Nice meal in the evening. Delicious cooked to order breakfast.

Brillant stay loved every minute

Our cruise ended in Southampton and stayed one night before our journey to London. Staff was awesome storing our luggage so we could explore the city prior to check in. Fantastic breakfast next morning. Would stay again

Such a lovely place to stay! Gorgeous room, nice touches including biscuits and beer in the fridge. Amazing breakfast and everyone was so warm and welcoming. Ideally located for buzzing Oxford street, will be back.

Small and fun hotel with so much history! It was clean and well kept. The rooms are small but well appointed and has everything you need. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff at the bar couldn’t have been nicer! We will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Southampton

Great location. Located on fun filled Oxford st. The room was nice, clean and perfect for a short stay. This is not in a quiet area. With that said we slept just fine. The rooms are well insulated. The breakfast was top notch. Great coffee.
