Room was very dated, soap dispensers by sink/shower all rusty which made soap brown and smelly. Very small room on a slant so nothing was straight (made me feel drunk!). Bed kept moving, windows all rotted. Continential breakfast was very dissapointing. Very basic and all pre-packed food. Only good things were view and location. Very expensive and not good value for money. Will not be staying again.

Staff were friendly and courteous. Bed was average, but the "continental" breakfast was very poor. Some pre-pack criossants, a few youghurts and a couple of pieces of fruit.

The staff were friendly and approachable. The hotel was clean and tidy. However it’s showing its age and could do with some TLC. I appreciate that in the current market that’s probably not on the cards. We were told there was a complimentary continental breakfast. This consisted of some budget prepacked croissant and pan au chocolates, jams, filter coffee, fruit and yogurt. No meats bread or cereals. Ok for the price if there was is nowhere else to stay.

The amenities need a total overhaul. I was in room 427, the stairs to the room was horrible. I almost fell, i had to call for help. The water took for ever to run. The staff were nice and very professional but the building is below hotel standard expected in a hospitality industry in tourist town like Worthing.

It was convenient for the sea front and the town centre, it was clean and did what it needed to however it was so hot inside; it was very, very tired, the windows were dirty, the bed creaked, the floorboards creaked and the breakfast was very disappointing. Also, I booked a accessible room but the toilet only had a hand rail on one side so it wasn't really helpful.

Breakfast prepackaged pastry and some yoghurt and a couple oranges and apples. Windows really old hard to open and shut room next to where the buses park so got no sleep till 2 when they were all docked and woken at 5 when they started again. Fixtures broken plumbing ran. Made an online complaint not even addressed at checkout.

On a positive note the hotel was exceptionally clean. The negatives were as follows: The Room was advertised as a Garden Room. In every other hotel I have ever visited this has meant a room over looking the hotel garden to the side or rear. This room over looked 'a green' which had an extremely busy road between it and the hotel. With single glazed windows the noise in the bedroom was horrendous and impossible to sleep. Even though 5 degrees outside and with no radiator on, the room was unbearably hot and you could not open the window because of the traffic noise. Although room recently painted, the furniture was tired, dated and the bed matresses need urgent replacement. It was so soft you could feel each spring. The toilet did not flush properly and the taps constantly dripped. Parking charges apply between 9-6 at £2 per hour adding a further expense to your stay. There seemed to be an acute shortage of staff. Reception often unmanned, only one member of staff to greet and serve at tables at breakfast. How Visit England awarded the Hotel a best breakfast award is beyond imagination. I chose bacon, sausage and mushroom. I was served one sausage, five small button mushrooms and a shrunken, small, dried out inedible piece of bacon. A member of the kitchen staff walked through to reception in a short, white chefs coat that was filthy. Not a gleaming white coat with recent stains of cooking which hopefully he did not do. Never again at this hotel.

The hotel is old and must have been grand once. It’s quirky due to age as you can expect. I could smell dog when I went into the reception. There is no parking. The rooms were ok, the bathroom was squashed and was really old and tired. there was a previous guests dirty sock under our bed. The games room was shut, breakfast was good.

It’s old fashioned and slightly shabby but good location and staff were lovely. Back rooms were quite noisy because of bus terminal. Worthing is nice.

Business trip for one night. Room was comfortable, breakfast was great. However, the best part was when I desperately needed to work and print some documents ready for a presentation, I was having a terrible time getting everything to work. Member of staff on duty Patricia looked after me amazingly, coffee, helped me find cable etc....above and beyond, excellent service, thank you Patricia for turning a bad day into a better one !

The hotel is dated but fairly clean. The room had a great view but the TV didn’t work, only 2 out of 4 windows opened. And there was no mention of the walk up and down stairs on uneven floors to get to your room.m, not ideal for those with disabilities.

Having booked a family room that can sleep up to 5 people, I was disappointed to find that you have to pay for additional guest if there are than two guests. We did the right thing and paid, but then there wasn’t enough towels in the room for the additional guest. With the room being so far away from reception, we decided not to walk back and get a towel. There should be spare towels stored inside the wardrobe to avoid the inconvenience. The stay was otherwise pleasant and I slept very well.

Wife suffers from sleep apnoea and needs oxygen during the night via a machine that needs plugged to mains electricity. No plugs near the bed (which is fine) but flat refusal when she enquired about the possibility of borrowing an extension. Not quite life and death but not helpful. Managed to source extensions in hotels globally but not here. We have now decided to take our own. Don’t know why I didn’t think of this in the first place! Nice breakfast though.
