You mislead us by saying this hotel was near Portofino. It was not. It required me to hire a private taxi driver to drive us there May 9. The cost was 520 USD. This hotel happens to be beautiful and well worth the stay. Your site falsely advertised the location You really need to tell the truth. The hotel deserves better treatment. It does not need your misinformation to get people to stay.

This was a pleasant surprise and a delightful stay. A little hard to get to driving, but absolutely easy from the train station. They have a private elevator from one level to another of the town. The staff was wonderful, and dinner was excellent and breakfast was made to order. There were multiple dining areas, so even if you were there more than one night you felt like you had options with her without a view, depending on the weather.

A truly family run hotel. The staff were happy to chat about where to eat, where to walk. A calm environment throughout.

This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is quiet and private but near the local town with good restaurants and a sheltered beach. The train station is just below with easy access to all the towns of the Cinque Terre. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, the hotel was also super clean and relaxing. The pool area is very beautiful with shady areas for relaxing. We ate twice in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent, the best we had in Liguria. All in all a really wonderful place!

Overall, we had a lovely stay at Hotel Villa Edera e La Torretta. It's in a nice setting, very private, and a good location for both Moneglia itself and the train to other towns, including the Cinque Terre. The dining and the wine tasting were both very good, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. On site parking is tight, but nothing tricky. The grounds are attractive and the pool is lovely, with lots of beds. I can see this family-run hotel is trying to take itself upmarket and add new services, such as a wellness offer, but I think the price point is a bit high at the moment as the transformation is not yet complete. For reference, we had just come from a beautiful Tuscany city where we had a modern suite with a balcony and separate sitting room. No pool, but it was half the price. The decor and some of the furniture of our room felt dated. There were teddies in boxes on the wall, and some amateurish art. There is now a picture of this room on the web, but if I had seen it before I wouldn't have booked. We had two balconies but one looked over the car park. The other was high sided and when seated, there was no view. Apparently there's a gym, but we weren't shown it. We found the breakfasts a bit strange. There's very little on the buffet, so that looks a bit sparse. Cheese, ham, etc is to order along with the cooked fare. I wasn't especially impressed with the hot food. Most of what I've mentioned are niggles, it's a nice place. Just a bit expensive right now.

This hotel is a true hidden gem which offers the perfect environment for a restorative experience, away from the hectic tourism of Cinque Terre. We look forward to visiting again soon.

A must for the discerning traveller. The staff at Villa Edera went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The bedroom very comfortable and the pool area extremely welcome. Very convenient for the train station for links to Cinque terre, Portofino etc. Highly recommended.

A beautiful, boutique hotel, with excellent facilities. Wonderful doing experiences with a clear focus of field to table. Lots of ingredients (including the wine) is grown by the hotel, in the surrounding area. Weather wasn’t great during our stay, but it didn’t dilute the beauty of the location, or the area, and the hotel put on a free pesto making demonstration (with wine!) as ‘compensation’ for the bad weather. It didn’t stop us from going in the pool either! Although we are wild swimmers from the UK… The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend booking here for your stay in Cinque Terre!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Edera, all the staff were so lovely and welcoming! Both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious, we sadly missed the Michelin restaurant opening times and couldn’t squeeze in a wine tasting - but all the more reason to return! We will definitely be recommending this hotel to family and friends, conveniently located to get to the Cinque Terre quickly and easily & the trains are very easy to use - the station is close to the hotel with a conveniently located lift straight up to the entrance! We would definitely love to return as we got engaged on this trip so the hotel now has a special meaning for us too.

This is a wonderful hotel with a Michelin rated restaurant and other fine amenities. Our room was comfortable and had a nice balcony overlooking the adjacent hills and countryside. It's also conveniently located to the train station and is only a ten minute walk to the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The property is beautiful and our room was very large with many amenities. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very convenient to get to the beach and to travel by train to the various Cinque Terre cities. The surrounding area is beautiful and you must try the Michelin star restaurant experience. Absolutely top quality and service and we highly recommend Hotel Villa Edera to anytime visiting the area. Enjoy!
