The owner of Hotel Les Goelands is a gem of a person. Although we had a bit of a problem checking-in, he more than made up for our inconvenience with his conscientious, affable and charming personality. Hotel Les Goelands is a lovingly operated family business that has been in existence for 90 years. We enjoyed having "Grandmother's Special Cake" for dessert on the evening we had dinner in the dining room. Delicious! The breakfasts at the hotel were also very tasty. Hotel Les Goelands is indeed, a very special place, only a short walk away from the center of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. In town, be sure not to miss the Mercado Les Halles St-Jean-de-Luz and the simple, but wonderful oyster bar in the building. Market days vary according to the season, so check before you go. Was quite a large room

Great place, good location, good breakfast, nice garden. I would suggest the hotel install screens for their windows. In the summer evening when the windows must be open to let cool air in, bugs fly in. I honestly felt like I was calling outside because of the bugs buzzing in my ear.

Fantasic location. Hotel has private parking which is very important. The room was very spacious and the hotel is a few blocks from the sea front. Would highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again on the way back.

Arrived, with heavy suitcases but the owner and staff member were too busy with a guests bike to see to us, we waited more than 5 mins for one of them to come to reception. One with the bike and one to see to us,not a hard call?! Sadly the room 118 felt damp, esp the bathroom and the bed and sheets. A moderate amount of expenditure would be advisable throughout, but impressions are of a tired hotel with not much capital expenditure which would improve it immeasurably. Breakfast at 7.80 Euros each was steep for not very much,boring food, a poor breakfast. No, we will not return. I do not mean to sound hard but having stayed in dozens of hotels of all types this was at the very low end.

Our room had high ceilings, a balcony and big windows with a partial view of the ocean. We got the room with the extra bed and it was extremely comfortable and very clean. Our hosts were extremely accommodating and breakfast was okay - basic french breakfast but room delivery was a plus. Quiet location. Would recommend to friends and family.

Ett väldigt trevligt hotell som nu är inne på tredje generationens ägare. Personligt och mysigt! Gångavstånd till allt, dock med uppförsbacke! En fin trädgård! Nära stranden! Passar ensamma damer!

Très joli hôtel très bien placé près de la plage si on fait abstraction du fait qu’il faut monter de nombreuses marches pour y a accéder. Service très attentif, chambre de belle taille, une belle adresse pour visiter Saint Jean de Luz mais mieux vaut avoir une voiture

Bon accueil. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au calme. L’hôtel est ancien et dans son jus mais très bien placé à 5mn de la plage et 10 mn du centre. La chambre et la salle d’eau sont spacieuses et propres. Le petit déjeuner est complet et excellent.

Buenas atención en recepción y muy agradable

Accueil sympathique dans ce joli hôtel réparti dans 2 très jolies maisons anciennes. Quartier très calme, bien situé, à 10 min. à pied de la plage et de la zone restaurants et commerces. Grande et jolie chambre au 2e étage avec vue sur le village et partiellement sur l'Océan. Très propre, literie de bonne qualité, jolie salle de bains. Bon choix au petit déjeuner. Pas d'ascenseur mais le réceptionniste aide volontiers à monter les bagages. Parking sécurisé sur place. C'est avec plaisir que nous réserverons cet hôtel si nous revenons dans la région.

Très bon sejour dans cet établissement bien situé au calme. Les chambres un peu vintage mais très propre.
