It's a nice hotel with a lovely big car park which is definitely a bonus in Romsey. There is a good cooked breakfast available but there is not much choice or quantity on the buffet. There is a nice beer garden where we ate in the evening which was very pleasant and the food was good.

A warm welcome, beautifully appointed rooms with excellent facilities and personal touches. Food was very tasty, the menu varied and staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and stay again.

This was our third stay at the Cromwell Arms and parking and check in were both quick and easy. Our room, Green Drake, is smart and spacious and has a very nice en suite. Unfortunately it has the disadvantage of being on the ground floor, right at the front, and whereas I don’t particularly mind the noise of the passing traffic (and they provide ear plugs!) I find the fact that pedestrians walk past the window quite disconcerting, and having to pull the blinds down the minute you get into the room isn’t really ideal. In three visits to this hotel we have been given this room twice, so I must make a point of rejecting it the next time we book. Breakfast was very nice, with a good selection of fresh fruit, cereals etc; and our cooked options were all very good as well, with quality ingredients perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The bottom line is that this is a very good hotel in an ideal location close to the river and the town centre.

Beautiful and comfortable room and bathroom. Very well equipped and exceptional provisions. Excellent breakfast. Great evening meal. Limited motorbike parking (lethal gravel) but found a spot on entrance paths.

Great place to stay, beautiful bedrooms and having aircon in heatwave was amazing! Staff were lovely and working so hard in this heat, but still smiling and jolly, a total credit! Rooms decorated nicely and nice little touch of biscuits and drinks tokens in room! We loved our stay in Dawson Olive! We shall back and will recommend!

Wonderful quaint hotel with all the modern amenities in the room. The staff was very accommodating we arrived at 11:00 am and we were allowed to check in and use the room. We stayed two nights and are going back in Sept. to stay three nights.

This was a lovely place to stay, perfect to walk into town, breakfast was lovely and the room was really well appointed, nicely appointed with comfy bed and good shower! We will definitely stay again

A really comfortable stay. Nice decor, themed around the River Test, with historical touches in a modern, clean setting. Loads of very easy (free) parking. About 10 minutes walk into the centre of Romsey. The hotel is just off a fairly busy road, but with double/triple glazing it isn't too bad, and they provide complementary earplugs should you need. Comfy beds, nice staff and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended

Enjoyable stay.

Great place to stay. I don't normally write reviews but everything about this place was excellent. I travel alot for work and this was one of the best places I have stayed at for a long time. Next time I am working in this area I will rebook.
