Breakfast was very good, but they need more bread options.

Our one night stay was good. The room was excellent. The service was excellent. The bar & food was expensive. Very expensive

A really comfortable stay. Nice decor, themed around the River Test, with historical touches in a modern, clean setting. Loads of very easy (free) parking. About 10 minutes walk into the centre of Romsey. The hotel is just off a fairly busy road, but with double/triple glazing it isn't too bad, and they provide complementary earplugs should you need. Comfy beds, nice staff and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended

Enjoyable stay.

Great place to stay. I don't normally write reviews but everything about this place was excellent. I travel alot for work and this was one of the best places I have stayed at for a long time. Next time I am working in this area I will rebook.

Nice room, but a bit noisy - lots of door banging. Otherwise, good size bathroom and nice toiletries. Comfy bed and good choice of tea/coffee - nice touch of fresh milk in the fridge.

The room was immaculate, the staff wete brilliant, food was amazing.

Overall we really like a stay at the Cromwell but few issues this time. Most important no hot water for shower two days running, told waitress, don’t believe we were alone in this issue. Breakfast service excellent, but food a little dry .

Friendly welcome and good service. Bedrooms are very tastefully furnished. Next to busy road but very well sound proofed. Nice breakfast. Lovely walk along River Test into Romsey. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Also dog friendly.

Excellent stay

Grubby, grubby, grubby. Rooms, bar area, restaurant, corridors all filthy. Nasty fish and chips cooked in oil long overdue for changing. Delightful very young staff needing some serious direction.

It was boiling in my room and there was no information on how to work the heating system so I was uncomfortably hot. The staff asked what we wanted for tea and coffee in the morning, but didn't wait to listen to everyone's order and subsequently got it wrong. He also didn't smile once and no one asked how our stay was. It was all really expensive including the room and the drinks.

Clean room, good breakfast. Check-in very slow - apparently there were staff shortages, meaning we had to wait some time to check in.
