Quiet, modern apartments in the middle of a busy city. Well equipped and comfortable. Parking is difficult in the nearby streets so well worth paying for a parking space.

The accommodation is modern, clean and well maintained and is really well situated in Hove, and only 10/15 minutes walk to the beach front. Though I didn't spend much time at the apartment the facilities were great. Shower pressure was good and temperature was good. I made use of the washer dryer and kitchen - all modern and in good shape. There are some great restaurants and bars near by! The apartment was very quiet - I didn't hear any noise from neighbours on my visit. One down side was the noise from the car park at random hours of the day, people coming and going at early hours in the morning. The bed was comfortable but I had to keep the curtains pulled to keep the room cool. The complex does have some fans but I couldn't get the air con to work. The gym and yoga room are great!

Disappointing Stay Due to Poor Communication and Inadequate Standards I received an email inviting me to complete a pre-check-in process, which is fairly standard nowadays. However, at no point was it made clear that failing to complete this step would prevent me from accessing the property entirely. I would have expected a follow-up reminder or clearer instructions if this were the case. Upon arrival, I discovered there was no reception desk. A passerby informed me that I should have received a phone number after completing the pre-check-in. I had to fill in the form on the spot and make several calls before I could gain entry. I was placed on hold, promised a call back that never came, and had to follow up multiple times. The entire process took 90 minutes and significantly impacted my stay. The allocated parking space was a considerable distance from the flat, and it was already occupied when I arrived. Once inside the apartment, I found it uncomfortably hot, even with all the windows open and the fan running. Cleanliness also fell short. There was visible fluff on the floors, a beer bottle cap on the bedroom carpet, and the en-suite had not been restocked with toilet paper or shower gel. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. If the property is listed as a hotel or apart-hotel on booking platforms, it needs to reflect hotel-level standards. If I had been from overseas I would not have been able to call the number.

The apartments are well decorated and designed, very modern and sleek. The complex is very much a work in progress and therefore works start in the morning from 8am. This could be disturbing, as the noise does travel. The photos of the communal spaces were not accurate for the building we were in, these looked like the opposite building, not sure if we did or didn't have access, as we never tried our fobs there. Please note that parking can be purchased via Ringo app for £6 per 12 hours. So no need to book and pay in advance, as the apartments suggested we did. The service level was good, although we booked a 2 bedroom and received a message a few days before check in to offer a refund or two 1 bedroom apartments, as the apartment we booked was unavailable due to emergency maintenance. Again, this was communicated and we agreed to take the 2 apartments, as we had plans for our trip. Overall I would stay again, although it is a fair distance from the pier, so would again need to drive.

The property itself was fine, but our check-in experience and the communication was poor. There was extra paperwork to fill in prior to check-in and the property very difficult to find. In addition, upon our arrival, we were asked to call the property, but nobody answered. There was a reception area in the building next-door, and she was very helpful, but did not actually work for Charles Hope. As far as I could tell there is nobody who works for Charles Hope on site. So, if you have an issue with the property, as we did, this can only be communicated remotely. We found this very inconvenient.

As it’s an apartment which is run through electronic key fobs and was only accessible through limited communication back and forth from someone managing the property remotely it was not easygoing at all and parking was very far.

Nice brand new building with well equipped apartments. Check-in process is not very straightforward though and we had to contact the company many times for different issues during the process of pre-check-in and check-in. Apartment was not ready at 3pm. Also parking is very expensive and on top of that they want you to remove the car as soon as you check out so you can’t spend the day and collect car later which is a shame and very unusual.

THE GOOD: very quiet, peaceful area. Bed, linens and pillows very comfortable. Very clean - cannot stress enough how clean this place is! Temperature control easy and ideal. Toiletries all smell lovely and are unisex. All remotely handled, but whenever called for assistance, the South African phone team were quick to answer and very helpful - nothing left unresolved. Would stay again. THE BAD: Some odd things missing, eg - a good-sized wardrobe is provided with plenty of hanging space, but no hangers (BYO!). Coffee pod machine provided, but pods provided are the wrong type.. luckily we had ground coffee with us anyway, and there was a way to use this in the machine. No paper towel or dishcloth, only a washing up sponge to clean surfaces with. THE UGLY: Pre-arrival could be more straightforward - lots of back-and-forth with links and replies required, lots of details and photos to be uploaded, etc etc. A website log-in with a clear step-by-step process would be better. We arrived after 8pm, difficult to find as currently a building site. (signs are "Hove Central" not "Charles Hope"). Builders don't want entry on foot for safety. We were well-directed by the people on the phone, but ended up calling to confirm where to park as not clear (all labelled disabled). The only park left had a numberplate zip-tied behind; called back again to check, was told to park there, was blocked in by the actual (disabled) owner of the space by the morning (happens a lot). Had to get a taxi.

The location around it is still under construction but there was nothing going on, on the weekend we stayed. Called up, got parking easily, access to the building, and in the apartment in minutes. Great apartment. Well layed out with everything you need in it. A few small parks around the car park area which were nice for my little ones. The only negative id say which is outside of the conpanies control is that every car that used the disabled bays werent disabled drivers. I think there was 8 bays all used by non blue bladge drivers. Now you can say you shouldnt judge... but if theres not one on display im judging.
