I had a very pleasant stay for two night. The location was great, very close to the centre. The room was clean and comfortable. I was pleased with the breakfast. The best of all was the friendliness of staff. The owner Angel was extremely helpful. He provided me with a lot of information about local places of interest and where to eat.

We had an excellent stay at hotel St Albert. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the charming owner ( who speaks fluent English) and his wife helped us navigate the tourist bus 338 schedule and sightseeing to the chateaux in Beynac and the riverfront village of La Roque-Gageac,

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and fitted with most of what we needed for a three nights stay. Nice shower, nice pillows. And importantly: about 21 square meters in size with two twin beds. Free Parking can be found within few minutes walk (ask hotel). The only possible negative for seniors like us was the lack of an elevator. But the staff helped us with our suitcases to the room. The location is extremely convenient to the old city. Excellent breakfast. So overall 5 stars, if parking and elevator are of no concern to you.

The new owners are congenial and helpful, as is the cleaning staff. Very comfortable with one exception: our bathroom had barely any room in front of the toilet. However, everything else was lovely. We had their full breakfast one day, and continental the others. So nice not to have to hunt down breakfast. Center of town easy walking distance. We had a very pleasant stay.

Ok breakfast was ok. Had a comfort room and location at back of hotel meant it was quiet. Room and hotel in general has a very tired feel about it. Parking a lottery nearby - parked 500 yards away! For my 2 night stay room was not made up on first morning - had to go to reception when I got back to get shower gel etc. Bedside lamp on other side of the room fell during the night. Hoped for early departure at 7.45am but no one in Reception and dining room chap did not know what to do - he called for help and eventually sorted after a 15 minute wait. Was so much better when I stayed there twice before. Alas there won’t be a 4th time.

We booked a suite but in reality got a somewhat haphazard conversion of what used to be the hotel bar. Located on the ground level, there is no ventilation unless you open what were the bar doors on to the street and the aircon didn't work for the first two days of our stay. The apartment is adjacent to the reception desk. The double bedroom has been formed in one corner of the bar area. The sofa bed is located next to the street which can mean street noise is an issue. The second bedroom is tiny, possibly 6m2, and houses a bunk bed. It is located at the top of flight of steps making it unsuitable for younger children. The bar's security lights mean users of the sofa bed and bunk beds cannot make the room dark. There is a water leak from the ceiling that is caught in a ice bucket on top of the fridge. The dishwasher is insecurely fitted. Some kitchen doors are at jaunty angles. The furniture is second-hand, torn, ripped & well used. Pictures have fallen from the wall, broken, but have been roughly Regung. One of the bar's customer toilets have been retained and the other has a washing machine instead, but that room smells strongly of urine. The bar's kitchens have been converted to a underground bathroom at the back with a large spa bath and separate shower. The hotel is located very centrally, which is a bonus. However, I would not rebook this "suite".

Frankly a mistake. Towels were dirty breakfast was cleared before we had finished (9.45am) and there was nobody on reception to check out with (or refund the second days breakfast) we were booked for 2 nights and left after one despite non refundable booking. Parking was not available overnight unless you arrive late and are ready to move on in the morning. However, since this is advisable I suppose it’s ok!

The hotel made it easy to walk up town. The parking is across the street but it was hard to find a space. We had two rooms with a connecting door, The AC on the wall wasn't working & my husband had to connect the vented window unit as it wasn't set up. There wasn't any AC in the 2nd bedroom.

The hotel is outdated and could use a facelift. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and air conditioned. There are better choices adjacent to the old quarter.

Staying here was like visiting a chateau. Owner is outgoing and tries to make your stay a real treat. Close to town and short drive to activities as visiting chateaux and hot air balloon. We highly recommend.
