Stayed 29th May 26. The entrance is not from the sea front, but there is pedestrian access during the day as they run a café. Alison kept us well informed before we arrived and she met us at the door. Lots of useful information about buses and taxies in the hall way. Take a photo, as I think for some to walk in is a bit far. Our twin room, Number 5 on the 2nd floor had the best view over the sea, and had everything we needed, including a pair of binoculars. There is a walk-in shower in the bathroom which was ideal for us. Can't say much more as it was so perfect.

It's a 25 minute walk from the train station or a 5 minute taxi ride. There's a beach outside with a playground for kids, cafes, and a lovely promenade. My room was clean and well stocked. The owner and staff were lovely.

First, Allison and her staff were simple a delight. Always smiling, always helpful. The room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The bed made for a good night's sleep. And the breakfast was excellent. We'd absolutely recommend The Roxburgh to friends and family and would love to stay again!

Easy to find thanks to a text on the day directing us to the parking area. Met by Allison at the door and made very welcome. The room, Lindesfarne, (No4) was superbly furnished and the view was all we expected. Cant fault it. The breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was of a high quality. Overall i'd have no hesitation in recommending The Roxburgh.

Great stay at the Roxburgh. I had a room with a lovely sea view. The room had everything I needed, including a large shower and fresh milk in the fridge which was a bonus. The bed was a little soft for my liking but I slept well with the sound of waves and no other noise. The breakfast choice was good with friendly service. Plenty of parking was available.

Our stay was enjoyable and we were made very welcome by Angela. She greeted us on our arrival and helped with the bags as we were on the top floor. The room was cosy and very tastefully laid out, with a great shower, a small fridge and a sea view to enjoy as well. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed strong coffee with our full breakfast. We like the location because it is close to the sea and has enough parking spaces. We have stayed here before and no doubt we will be back again in the future.

Clean, comfortable room with a well kitted out ensuite bathroom. Room had the normal tea and coffee facilities, but also had a jar of biccies and a small fridge for fresh milk, not the tiny UHT cartons. Helpful, friendly staff. Great location by the beach. Small on site car park, but also on street parking available if its full.

Beautiful room, real demonstration of how to renovate a Victorian seafront room. Spotless, comfortable, quiet, amazing sea view. Alison and her staff were super-friendly and welcoming. Lovely breakfast. A perfect base for exploring the area. Only tiny quibble is that the extractor fan in the (otherwise excellent) bathroom is very noisy. Fine as long as you remember to close the bathroom door until the fan stops!

Perfect location, right on the prom overlooking the sea and estuary. Rooms are spacious and well furnished and decorated. Great cafe which is attached to the cafe, which residents can access directly. Had a great breakfast butty there. Host Allison was extremely welcoming and helpful. Plenty private parking. Just be careful when you fling back the curtains if you have a sea view... you are literally overlooking lots of dog walkers, children going to the beach etc! Make sure you are decent 😆. 10/10

Our room was quite lovely. It overlooked the ocean. It was very clean. The innkeeper was a very kind woman. She gave us a lot of information about dining options in the area and information about taking the local train (we were taking a train to London the next day). I would have loved to have spent more time here.
