Good value, decent location and reasonably comfortable for a single night stay.

The hotel is ideally situated at the north end of the town providing lovely sea views, a short walk to the town facilities and harbour. The rooms were large, modern and clean with adequate facilities. The staff were friendly and check in was quick and efficient. We had dinner at the hotel and were very impressed with the abundant choices in the menu at very reasonable prices. Service was fast and the food was absolutely delicious with very large portions. The included breakfast was similarly delightful with a large number of choices to meet most tastes. We had the full Scottish breakfast which was huge and filled us for the rest of the day! In summary, we highly recommend this hotel for a perfectly stay in this ancient fishing port, ideally situated for exploring the beautiful East Neuk of the Kingdom of Fife.

Room was rather warm with no air conditioning. There was no where to hang towels in the bathroom or place to lay out a suitcase in the room. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and the staff were very polite and attentive. Pastries, for breakfast, would have benefitted from a cover as there were flies around the room. The loose stones covering the car park made it impossible to drag suitcases across.

Very warm welcome at the hotel. Check in was very easy, and quickly in our nicely cleaned and appointed room. Stayed in hotel for dinner which was excellent. Breakfast had excellent choice and quality too.

Please do not read the reviews onHotels.com, read Trip Advisor, one mattress on floor and one camp bed, place smelt damp the smell was horrendous, we walked out and did not stay, £173 a total rip off, dangerous stairs, this hotel should not be on hotels.com, Manager could care less, he had our money and was not professional, I have booked loads of hotels with hotels. com and they have all been great, no complaints only great reviews worst hotel I have ever stayed, don’t go.

We were happy to see that there was a restaurant and bar on the premises when we arrived as we were tired and it was raining. The food was good and fresh. The rooms are spacious but plain. The shower worked fine. The bathroom could use a shelf or cabinet to put your stuff on. There was a coffee and teas station. We were on the second floor with no lift since it’s an older building if that is a concern for you. The neighborhood was quiet and you could see the ocean from our window although it was a distance away. Breakfast was included and it was plentiful with choices.

The hotel is a bit far out from the shops so unless you’re reasonably fit , you might need a car. Our room was large an good sized en suite. The other problem I would point out is that, iagain if you’re struggling with walking ,or require the aid of a stick or other walking aid there’s a lot of stairs to reach some of the rooms. My husband did struggle with them. Ideal for a one night stop over.

Multiple options, healthy or fry up

Love this place. Definitely will stay here again. Staff is so friendly and nice and even let us check in a little bit late. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel and helpful friendly staff. Stayed one night as attending a wedding nearby. Our room was comfy and clean, good shower though nowhere to put stuff in the bathroom. Crail is a lovely wee town.

This is a lovely hotel. It was a bit of a work in progress and may be complete by now. The proprietors were lovely. Our room was a bit cramped but others may be fine. The restaurant was nice and had a menu that varied from week to week. The breakfast was excellent.

We found this hotel souless - the room was empty of anything soft and comfortable and the heating was off when we arrived and the window was open so it was cold and we had to go and arrange the heating be turned on at reception. The breakfast was average, the staff were okay, not unfriendly but not attentive either. For the money paid I think they need to up their game. I would not plan to go back.

Staff and location were wonderful. Very economical. The floors (corners and behind the doors) in our room and bathroom were very dusty!

Was Dissapointed to tell the truth.Bed was comfy room was clean. But rooms are basic and cold.Food was also a bit bland. Overpriced for what you get.

Staff /owners were excellent and we would use again if in this area. However, we would have preferred daily cleaning of our room. We stayed for a total,of 4 nights and no cleaning of our room was undertaken during that time. Towels are only changed on the 3rd day but we had to prompt this change as we did with the emptying of the bins. These matters were rectified immediately once we pointed it out but it appears no one is checking the rooms are being serviced. The breakfasts were very good and the service from the staff re carrying luggage to room etc was very good too. Car parking excellent. As much hot water as you like, and the room was kept warm too. This hotel has obviously had a lot of money spent on it by the owners over the last few years but small matters such as more towel hooks in the shower room are needed. The towels and bedding were lovely and white and smelled nice and clean but it would have been nice to have the room cleaned daily eg mopping room floors and vacuuming the stairwells. The bed was comfy but we had to make it up ourselves daily. Only our pillows were plumped up ! This wasn’t a deal breaker for us but so much more could be made of this hotel. But we enjoyed our stay.

Great location, clean rooms and lovely service

There was no lift, so not really suitable for those with mobility issues. Bedroom was good. Beds very comfy. Nice towels. Bathroom really small. Only complaint was no marmalade available at breakfast.

Can not fault any thing. Nice clean comfortable. Staff great. Great place to go
