The whole stay, although for one night only, was excellent from arrival to departure. Breakfast was fabulous. We will be returning in September.

A thoroughly recommendable property which is easy to find. Room was beautiful with a separate room for the boys. Bed was very comfortable and the facilities in the room were excellent.

We have stayed here several times when we are in the area. Great people there (we noticed the staff are consistent, always a good sign) the rooms are comfy and clean and parking is easy. It's in a pretty spot and the food available is delicious and reasonably priced. Caters very well for vegans too. We will be going back again. 5 star

Amazing place, stayed here many times before. welcoming vibe, lovely breakfast. I arrived late at night, owner was there to greet me, offered me a beer after my long drive. (perfect) Room was amazing, nice little upgrade. massive bed, plenty of space to work (desk area). full selection of tea & coffee, and some nice biscuits. iron & ironing board in the room. everything i need was there for me. I personally judge hotels, by the shower.... and WOW amazing shower, with the best smelling shower gel I've ever used. (and I stay in many hotels)

Comfortable and clean

The room was big, comfortable and clean. Food in the restaurant was spot on.

On arrival i was not made to feel particilarly welcome. The restaurant closed at 8 and i arrived at about 8.05 due to traffic. I brought a takeaway in and bought a beer but was told i could npt eat in the bar and would have to go to my room. I refused and eventually was accomodated and the staff tried to make amends. That was much appreciated and was able to relax. My room was very hot and there was some road noise. I could not turn the room radiator off the thermostatic valve was broken. On departure there was no enquirey about my stay so feed back was have had to have been proactive. I suspect my experience thr evening before prevented the question. Hence hotel and stay eas only OK!

Friendly, clean, evening meal was very good

Stayed here as it was near March where I went horse riding and March has no where good to stay. Loved it here and will be back because (a) it caters well for a vegan diet and (b) it has a good gym onsite too. Lovely friendly staff and the hotel was comfortable. Our room was next to the road so that would be my only criticism as being a country mouse it was noisy for me.

This hotel is a gem - the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are lovely with a comfortable bed and wonderful en suite facilities. There is a small gym on site to help work up an appetite The food is always different, tasty and good portions Breakfast is easy, great coffee and wonderful choice

Booked last minute but the staff were very welcoming, there were a few tiny things that weren’t quite right but it isn’t worth marking down what otherwise is an excellent place to stay
