Didn't attend breakfast

Good overall, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms could do with a refresh. Breakfast was ok. Would stay again. Excellent value for money.

A comfortable room and very helpful staff, with a good breakfast served. I would recommend packing earplugs though, especially if your room overlooks the courtyard.

Room was clean and whilst the bed was very firm I slept well. Breakfast was a delight and the staff very helpful.

The receptionist lady was very helpful and her professionalism was good. The room was clean and modern

They are a little bit behind

The hotel was comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The bar was clean & welcoming with live sport on tv. I did not have the breakfast as I left early in the morning, but was offered a takeaway insteads.

Great breakfast, very friendly staff

This property does not look much from the outside. However, one can’t judge a book by its cover. This property has been newly renovated. The staff are all exceptional and very helpful. The good is good. The amenities are great. A fabulous breakfast included in the price. Buffet continental and a-la-carte hot meals all included. Overly garden area. Very nice bar and lounge uk relax and a great location. Highly recommend.

Clean room, a bit run down but it was clean and good price! Even though it was a little rough around the edges the feel of the hotel was very homely and welcoming. We would stay here again! Nice breakfast too.

Needs work on it

Great stay at the King Charles Hotel (Gillingham). Very helpful and friendly staff and clean & comfortable room. The dining room area was very welcoming and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Very good value for money. Thank you.

The staff were very good and evening meal and breakfast very nice. Very disappointed with the fact the key card holder said the bar opened TV12 noon on Saturday but when we asked staff they said it was not open until 3pm. We had arranged to meet friends in the bar at 12 noon so we all had to go into town before the football match which was the purpose of our stay. Maybe someone can amend the information.

Always helpful staff, but watch out for the parking company who take forever to cancel their over active parking fines! Especially when booked into the hotel and provided evidence. It took them nearly a month to cancel their fine and because of this my car hire company charged me £50 admin fee for the parking fine!

Ideal location and room configuration for our needs. Friendly staff and a quiet, relaxed setting.

Spotless room and bathroom, good food, friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. Will stay there again in the near future.

Ample parking, hot breakfast

Me and my partner stayed in the suite for the night and were very pleased. The only thing we were asking was, if there was any cold beverages in the room for example if there would be some cold drinks such as cold water provided or cold refreshing fizzy drinks. Other than that we were very pleased with the condition and how cozy the stay was

Breakfast is Cooke to order however if you have a dog they are not allowed in the restaurant and you are sent to a windowless room near the bar. Food on Friday night well it’s from a freezer burgers were like rubber and the oven chips yes oven chips were tasteless, The fish was horrendous frozen fish the fish inside the batter was a grey mush. No excuses if you have a chef or tell guests it’s from the freezer and tasteless. This is budget hotel the emphasis is on budget. Like going back into the 70s. Rooms small, smells of weed in corridors lots of people in flip flops collecting food from umber deliveries and similar. The plus side next to the RE museum, the park and finally the staff they were so friendly and tried to help. But that does not make up for the worn out rooms and public areas. Look likes it waiting to be demolished and houses built on the site. Anyone would think the owners could be property developers awaiting the green light. Not returning.
