Breakfast menu was really good, the staff were professional and welcoming.Our room was spotless and if we return ee will request the same one. Parking can be a little tricky with a large car but we were fine. As for location, it's ideal for the town centre (300yards or so).

Beautiful property with tasteful decor and a real homely feel. The car park is a real convenience right beside the hotel. Our room was immaculate and with a very large, very comfortable bed. A gorgeous view of the hills from the window really set the scene. The room also had a bath which was a bonus. Breakfast was delightful and with a good variety of options, including avocado sourdough toast. A brief walk into the centre of Ambleside to the bars and restaurants, not far at all. We had a lovely stay here.

This is a nice property in the Ambleside town centre and close to all shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious and provide tea and coffee. Staff were polite and helpful. There is also dedicated parking on site ( tight spaces). The hotel is about 10-15min walk to the marina and close to waterfalls and Rydal caves. Breakfast is decent -cereal and toast are on buffet but other items need to be ordered ( included in the breakfast cost) . Portion sizes are small . Coffee could be better ( no coffee machine). The property does not have a lift. There is no walk in shower (had bath tub with shower). Like most properties in Lake District, the rooms can be expensive during holidays.

Room was clean and comfortable and well-located for strolling in town. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choices and staff were very friendly. No complaints!

We had the most wonderful stay at Ambleside Townhouse. We stayed for 5 nights in the family room as it was the last room they had when booking. We were glad as it was a beautiful spacious room with two beds. We only used one which was a superking and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and even though we didn’t really need much they were always there to answer anything with a friendly reply. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. I cannot fault this place and would definitely recommend. We will definitely be back when next visiting the Lakes, thank you.

Excellent time from check in to leaving, lovely place right in the heart of Ambleside a stones throw from everywhere we needed to be, great bars and restaurants. Breakfast was top notch both days.

Having stayed here on a number of occasions the staff are consistently friendly. The standard of the rooms and their cleanliness is superb. Easy walking distance into the town centre. Look forward to staying again.
