Tucked deep inside Dos Ojos Park (note: expect dirt roads and drive slow—it's part of the adventure!), this boutique hotel is a sanctuary for those looking to truly unplug. You'll be sharing the space with beautiful wildlife, be prepared for a real jungle experience. We stayed in the villa with a private cenote-water pool and a lovely outside patio perfect for evening reading. Be advised: there are no TVs, which is exactly the point! The continuous sounds of the jungle provided the most relaxing soundtrack. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and our room was impeccably maintained daily. The service was phenomenal. Every staff member we interacted with was happy, smiling, and incredibly friendly. A huge thank you to Jorge, Sebastian, Arturo, and Gabby for their dedication. Jorge went above and beyond to make my birthday so special—I felt like the only guest there! He even helped us out big time when we had a minor rental car issue. The common areas, also featuring cenote-fed pools, maintain a consistently relaxing and romantic vibe. If you're looking for a party, this is not it; this is a chill, respectful, and romantic retreat. The chef curates truly delicious dishes; we happily ate on-site at least once a day. The drinks were outstanding. We also highly recommend the Temazcal ceremony for a deeper, enriching experience. Please be respectful of the property's heritage. The Yellow Nest is a memorable, special property, with friendly/helpful staff. 10/10 Recommend!

Solo traveling may sound like a scary thing to do. I mostly travel alone at least twice a year for self-awareness and to disconnect to the outside noise. The Yellow Nest provided just that, a total disconnect with the perks of a fantastic staff and fabulous location. Jorge in particular was like having a personal assistant, always there to help and make my stay memorable. Highly recommend The Yellow Nest!

I would definitely come back to Yellow Nest. This place was very welcoming, beautiful and quiet. I wish I had booked more stays not just one night since there are a lot of activities included in the stay. Dante, George and the rest of the staff were amazing.

This is a very unique property in the jungle that just didn't work for us. We rented a villa with a plunge pool. Despite a beautiful setting, cool design and friendly staff there were some deal breakers that made us decide to forfeit our money and get another hotel the same evening of the day we arrived. The lack of AC during the day during intense heat and humidity was a big deal for us as was the noisy diesel generator next to our room that is on all night. The property is not easy to access. We may have felt less isolated if we had an SUV instead of a regular sedan but it didn't feel like we could safely (flat tire wise) navigate the roads after dark and we really like the idea of having options for dinner, which wouldn't have worked with that location. Another review mentioned the strong sulpher smell of the water. The smell stayed on my skin causing me to smell bad. Not romantic for a couples retreat. However, those things that were deal breakers for us might not be a big deal to someone else. Like we said, it is an interesting hotel in the jungle but we were looking for some comfort and luxury and the pictures did not stack up to the actual experience which had a more "roughing it" vibe despite the price tag.

First off, the property is beyond gorgeous and the staff was attentive and so kind. I was all set to leave a fantastic review about how peaceful and tranquil this oasis in the jungle was- BUT the serene and beautiful pool was overrun with loud groups (each had their own rap music speakers blasting) … I don’t know if they were daypass holders or guests but they ruined the atmosphere and I was disappointed the staff did nothing.

Our stay here at this property was amazing! The service was outstanding and the staff were all so friendly, helpful and very professional. The food and the drinks that we enjoyed here were all so delicious and presented very well. We absolutely loved our floating breakfast! That and the meditation ceremony were our favorite! We were able to unplug and recharge here in our jungle villa. Biking to the local Cenotes were so much fun! This stay was fun, safe, and definitely an experience to be had!! Highlight of our trip!
