Wow...interesting place! It's an old Manor from the 1750's. Soderfors is quiet at night - carpets seem to roll up around 7PM. We arrived at 10PM, starved, and ended up drinking water and having a nice dinner of salt and pepper cashews and beef jerky since the advertised hotel bar and restaurant also follows the local schedule. We were the only guests - it was so quiet and empty that it felt a bit like the setting for a summer camp horror movie. All that said, super convenient for the business we had in the area but Soderfors is a bit of the beaten path. Beautiful place though, just plan ahead. They claim the hotel is haunted. I'd have to agree after hearing mysterious door openings and closings. Comfortable room, and the only choice in Soderfors.
