We had a great stay at Son Borguny, and Banyalbufar! This is a stunning destination and the family-run hotel fit into the town beautifully. We really appreciated how friendly everybody was, the recommendations we received for local sights and free areas to park nearby. The room was spacious, air conditioned, and the shower was warm with good pressure. The breakfast was also delicious (homemade breads, yogurt/granola, sweets, fruit, and your choice of eggs). The terrace is really beautiful, and the restaurant that does dinner there was excellent too (best of our trip!) We would highly recommend staying, enjoying the sunset somewhere, and having dinner in the restaurant!

A beautiful hotel in a cute town! Hosts were very friendly but the desk is not often attended- check in was a 30 min wait (after designated check in time) because no one was there working, and it seemed other guests had been waiting a while too. Overall great though.

We had a wonderful time. Penny was an excellent host, serving breakfast and giving us restaurant and activity suggestions around the island. The town is small and quiet, but Palma is a 30 min drive if you want activity. We loved the quiet.

Owners are fantastic-warm and helpful. Breakfast was also just as good. Parking is non-existant-but, its not the hotels fault. Would definitely stay here again.

Super nice family-owned little hotel in the mountains. Very nice chatting with the staff and great dinner and breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. Overall a very authentic and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended if you are looking for something else than the all inclusive resorts. The drive to the hotel from Palma is beautiful and if you are into hiking, there are several routes close by. The last stretch of the road up to the hotel is very narrow and steep (they are serious when they say don’t come with a big rental car), but they were extremely nice to offer us to park for the night. We were told if you are staying for longer than one night, they take the time to teach you how to manage the parking.

Amazing – warm and friendly hosts, sweet and comfy rustic rooms, great homemade breakfast and just an overall idyllic, historic place to stay in a spectacularly beautiful region. Hopefully not my last time here.

Banyalbufar is a beautiful village and it was especially enjoyable in Feb given the lack of high season visitors. The downside of course is that in the winter there isn't much open, just one or two places in the village, but that didn't spoil my stay. The hotel is a very nice place to stay and central. I was able to park for free on the main street, which I would say is 100% better than trying to drive up the narrow steep street to the hotel's own parking (which I think must be behind a garage door adjacent to the hotel, so the hotel would have to be ready for you to open it up as nowhere to park outside the hotel, on a steep and narrow road. The walking from there is excellent (a lot of uphill!) and I was very lucky to enjoy fantastic clear blue skies and sunshine, not guaranteed in February! The owners were very friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely, family run hotel in a quiet little village. Comfortable bed, breakfast was a real treat, and the view from the 'Junior Suite' is fantastic. Given that Banyalbufar is generally quite expensive, the hotel is reasonable value for money. We ate in the restaurant one evening too, which was also quite, expensive but reasonable value (other restaurants are similarly priced). The only complaint is that the Junior Suite is not what I would define as a suite at all. I would expect a separate seating area, a little more room, and maybe a fridge. Because I was expecting more, I felt a little disappointed which was entirely inappropriate because it was pretty much perfect.

A delightful small hotel located in what had been a monastery in the 15 th Century. Try to get a room with sea view. The restaurant is excellent and again best to book and request a table in the terrace. Family owned and run.
