Our room was cleaned daily by a committed housekeeping staff. Lorene & Ingrid were exceptional, warm and friendly. They were limited by the lack of resources. Gem is conveniently located on a beach, however the rooms are showing their age and it is clear that management has not invested in updating the room in a very long time. Basic things like a running toilet tank, having to hold the lever to get the toilet to flush, a refrigerator that leaks, all reflect the lack of intention to the small details. For the most part, the staff was helpful and friendly, however, there was a server at the bar at Kalinago who was rude, dismissive and very combative. I was told that she was fairly new to the team. Management could do a better job of ensuring that their employees, as in this case, properly reflect the values and the mission of Gem/Kalinago. Deslin, who assisted us over breakfast and the bar at Kalinago was exceptional! Her maturity level and attention to details, along with her deep care for her customers was appreciated.

Good food (the Plywood has the best fish tacos I've ever had, and im from NY). EXCELLENT BEACH. Pleasant front desk (Kathleen and Alister). The room and the proper in general needs some renovations, but it was SPOTLESS. The one and ONLY downside to our stay was that i left the keys inside the room and when we were given access to the room returning from the beach, there were US$100 from my bag. I am not confrontational person and it was a non-refundable stay and we had no plan B in mind. I reported it to the dront desk immediately and let them handle it as professional as possible. I also didnt what low-life decision reflect poorly on the rest of the staff. Everything..goodies!

My little stay at this hotel was amazing.. I have been to other countries in the Caribbean and their hotels even though more expensive, they still don’t touch the simplicity and beauty of this place. The best part about here, was the friendly staff. Especially Kathleen, I know I probably nagged her a lot but she’s such a kind person with a beautiful heart. Will never forget them :)

Upon my arrival the pillows and cases were dirty with old yellow stains, skirts on the beds were very filthy I reported and they change them, after that they continue cleaning the room every day. Staffs were very polite, breakfast was good.

Beautiful beach BBC at Morne Rouge, not much of a view of the beach from our Apt. But sunsets were beautiful. We had water problems which were addressed satisfactorily. The maid service was excellent as well as the other staff, all very courteous and helpful. The internet (Wifi) was sketchy and lost all together on many occasions. Only the bedroom has air conditioning.

I love the Gem. Friendly people, nice view, comfortable, clean, and everything we want in a place to stay. Love the balcony. It's not for those looking for luxury, but excellent for those who want clean and comfortable in a nice location.

Greneda has our heart! The apartment was fantastic, clean, spacious, etc.. Great location across from the beautiful beach. Was an easy walk for us to the spice market! Everyone was so wonderful! We will be back soon!!!

Very outdated. Very old. Quiet area with easy access to the beach. Only stayed one night as i wouldn’t book for longer. Just needed a place to lay our head

Booked a week here was great place to stay. Staff where very friendly and help full. Room was clean maybe a little dated but im ok with that . And had all the things I needed. With a full kitchen, exactly what i was looking as i am chef, i like to have the option if i want to cook, gathering ingredients from lokal markets. Gem is on a great beach, most days was very quiet, and relaxing. Will definitely return probably for longer stay.

The staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel was not the one advertised. Gem Holiday is behind a restaurant and 2 parking lots. Their sister hotel was on the beach but the ocean views consisted mostly of the lavender concrete building where the restaurant was located, in front of the hotel. We could see the ocean but only via a small

Clean , spacious room. Comfortable beds with good ac in the bedroom and a nice little patio area to sit outside. They also provided beach towels which was handy. Some tea and coffee in the room would have been nice but the kitchen was well stocked otherwise. The staff were mostly very welcoming and friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The apartment is a little dated but it was still nice. The staff was exceptional and the location was good. Plenty of food options and right next to the beach. Enjoyable, relaxing and convenient.

My room was very cozy and larger than I expected, walking distance to BBC beach. The staff was ver y nice and accommodating. In fact they offered to extend my check out time to accommodate me with my flight departing time. Which I appreciated very much
