Loved our stay! Friendly staff, beautiful setting, comfortable room. We enjoyed the slower pace of the southern end of the island.

Reno, his mother and everyone else was as helpful, friendly and welcoming as I have ever met at a hotel. The omelets for breakfast were also top of the line. I will be back!

We completely enjoyed our stay at Serene by the Sea. The family that runs the hotel is very friendly, helpful and responsive. They answered every question, helped us get transportation and made excellent recommendations regarding restaurants, the area and services. The facilities at Serene are very quaint, comfortable and provide a relaxing retreat. Savaneta is a great place to stay when in Aruba. Very quiet and picturesque, yet with easy access to downtown or other parts of the island. We will certainly stay here again the next time we visit Aruba.

Boy did we get lucky picking this place. The location is outstanding, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and most of all, the family that runs the hotel is so so so lovely. I want to write paragraph after paragraph about how much we enjoyed our stay here, but I also want to make sure that people read it and also chose to stay here, so I’ll just keep it to this: it’s right on the water, and you can see lots of interesting fish, and even a sea turtle here and there snorkeling right by where you eat breakfast (which is also lovely and includes visits from several named iguanas that visit for snacks from the cook each morning). We’ll be back, and I don’t want to stay anywhere else on the island.

The staff was extremely friendly and the morning breakfast was a treat. It’s located on a beautiful private beach in a perfect location for watching the sunset in peace. The only downside was we were there for 6 days and no one came to clean our room. We asked but still no one showed up. Other than that it was perfect! We will absolutely be staying there again.

We loved our romantic weekend here at Serene By the Sea. We celebrated our 25th anniversary with the bottle of prosecco they gave us and chose to spend most of our time just relaxing here. We snorkeled and took the available kayaks out. They even let us borrow fishing poles. I recommend the included breakfast every morning with coffee, juice, toast, fruit & homemade omelets. The wildlife of birds, fish, crabs & lizards on the deck are fun to watch. The room, bed & shower are quiet and comfortable. The view outside to the left and right is very beautiful. We even made reservations for a romantic dinner by the water with chef that included wine & dessert. Other restaurants were walkable like Flying Fishboone and we enjoyed the romantic Old Man & the Sea for dinner over the water in a bungalow. So even though we rented a car to drive round trip to the airport and explore Baby Beach, we just didn’t need to go very far from relaxing in the hammock at Serene By the Sea. Wonderful owners make it even more enjoyable. They even loaned us beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels and gave me fresh cut aloe for our sunburn. Wonderful service.

I wanted to stay at a place that was peaceful, ocean front, small and cute lol and this place was all of the above and more! Everything was great for me. It is not right by the super touristy areas. It took me around 30 minutes to drive to Noord and 15-20 to Oranjestad. Then when I left to visit those areas I couldn’t wait to get back to Savaneta! I have to say that it was honestly difficult for me to leave the hotel in the first place because I loved it so much. There’s a selection of local and other restaurants and beaches near by. Flying Fishbone and Zeerover are just steps away. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

The hotel is small, family run and friendly. You are away from the hustle and bustle of the major resort area. The breakfast is fresh with the cook (very nice) preparing any style eggs/omelet, breads, pastries, cheese, ham and fruit also available. Coffee, tea and orange juice provided. The Flying Fishbone Restaurant (famous for dining with your feet in the water) is next door. The snorkeling was good and we saw a turtle. Took the Kayak out. Be aware of the current further out in the water. Enjoyed our stay

This is a quaint, delightful place that is not in the typical tourist district. Our room overlooked the Caribbean and we walked less than 100 ft to the water's edge. As a small place you are not fighting the crowds and with the included beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel equipment, and kayaks this was a perfect place to relax. Also breakfast was included every morning. It is close to 3 fabulous restaurants and within a short driving distance to Baby Beach, a must visit beach! This is a family run place and what a great family they are. Very friendly, helpful, (especially when we had a dead battery as we were departing for the airport) and accommodating. For us it was the perfect place to stay.

What a hidden gem! All the comforts of home/hotel without the enormous price. We will definately visit again. Breakfast on the water, prepared by a personal chef... white sand beach with crystal blue swimming area. Rooms are nice and remodeled. Floating massage 'deck', kayaks, snorkling gear, and more. We paid the chef to take us for a tour of the island, which he did so graciously. Didn't miss a thing, had personal treatment (and a/c) all at a reasonable price. I believe there are power boats available - they will take you for a ride.

We loved our stay at Serene By The Sea. The property is away from the tourist section and authentic Aruba. The facility was clean. Snorkeling is available on site with basic equipment. Breakfast is prepared fresh each morning right on the water. The beach was lovely with chairs and hammocks. Highly recommend for a nice quiet stay in Aruba. Tip: Flying Fishbone is walking distance. To get the feet in the water seats, book a few months out. We did get a beach seat which was lovely also.

We were looking for something much quieter than the resorts that still had an ocean view, and we found it. The location was great. It was right on the beach with a beautiful view. The hotel had a very intimate feel and was very peaceful. Kayaks are provided so you can take a short trip to glass beach island. There is also snorkel equipment in your room. There is breakfast downstairs in an outdoor patio which was a great way to start your day with a gorgeous view. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and big. I highly recommend this hotel!
