Location location location!

Lovely rooms, great views. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel room was clean with a quiet corner to sit in and read or lookout at the ocean. It was situated in the Main Street and a short walk to the ocean. There is a lovely ocean front walk as well. The breakfast covered a full range of foods and was well stocked.

Nothing special. Dated building in need of Reno’s, but fine as a budget place to stay.

Breakfast was always hot and fresh. Hotel staff was always happy to see us and helpful. If we left the housekeeping sign on the door when going out for the day even if it was at lunch time they would still help by making the bed and bringing fresh towels. The hotel was also quiet and barely heard the other guests. It was just busy with them doing yearly maintanence of fire alarms and and health and safety.

This location is a beautiful property. We were given one of the waterfront rooms in the newer portion of the building. The room was clean and very well equipped had we have wanted to prepare our own meal. Instead we opted to have dinner at Riva, the restaurant in the same building which was an amazing experience. The property is in a wonderful area of Sidney with shops, restaurants, a great waterfront walking area. We would certainly return here again but next times would stay for a few days.

The hotel could use a little updating. You are there for the views and location though and those are phenomenal!

The positives - the location is perfect. Quick walk to the water/pier & cute shops. The room was clean - dated. The Canterbury coffee was excellent. We were in room 260 - the air conditioner and the board heating rattled and was very noisy. We booked a city view and it looked out on a street - disappointing. With the taxes $364 is a lot for this room. Breakfast was ok. There was bacon. The server brought a fresh batch but put on top of the old bacon. We had to ask for cutlery. Staff was so so. The first front desk attendant was friendly. The rest of the staff were indifferent. Checking out one attendant was busy but the other gentleman just looked at us until we asked if he could help us.

Beautiful room and views, excellent breakfast, friendly staff

The room was basic with an original bathroom and two queen size beds. We enjoyed the balcony with a water view and the location close to a beautiful ocean front trail. It was a 9 minute taxi ride to the Victoria airport.

Great location and very clean. Really no amenities to speak of other than breakfast room which was just mediocre. Overall, the location and comfort of room along w a very nice balcony and view make it a very nice choice

This hotel is well located in Sydney and close to the airport. It is in need of an extensive renovation.

We realized when we arrived, there is a new section and an old section and we were in the old section. There was coffee out during the day, but when we arrived home in the evening, it was gone. The breakfast was adequate, but no muffins. There’s no swimming pool, which I do enjoy in a hotel and for $350 a night I would’ve hoped for one. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Nice place

Super little place with genuinely polite and helpful staff. I had a spacious room with good amenities including a small fridge and microwave. Nice artwork in the room and around the corridors. Woke up to the most amazing view of the sun coming up across the Salish Sea. Sidney is a quaint, quiet little place from what I saw of it late evening and early morning. I had to switch off the noisy air con but other than that a really lovely place to stopover on my way back to the airport after 6 weeks travelling around the southern tip of the island.

Good services and clean property.

At check in we were greeted by two friendly staff members who explained the amenities and check out process clearly. They recommended a wonderful restaurant, Riva, next door. 10/10 recommend and would come back.
