I had a wonderful stay at The Burgundy Dream Bed and Breakfast during my first visit to Nova Scotia. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. One of the highlights was the breakfast. Each morning included a selection of cereal, granola, yogurt, coffee, and tea, along with a freshly prepared hot breakfast. During my stay, these ranged from omelettes and eggs with bacon to poached eggs served on an English muffin with sliced ham. Everything was delicious and prepared with care. The hosts were also an excellent resource for exploring Halifax and the surrounding area. Whenever I had questions about parks, tourist attractions, or day trips, they were happy to offer recommendations, directions, and helpful advice. Although I spent most of my time exploring southern Nova Scotia, I look forward to returning and enjoying more of the property itself, including the outdoor deck, picnic and barbecue area, and beautiful backyard. I would highly recommend The Burgundy Dream Bed and Breakfast to anyone looking for comfortable accommodations, outstanding hospitality, and a memorable stay in Nova Scotia.

Amazing place. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and very clean with an amazing view! The hosts were more than helpful, accommodating and kind! The breakfast was so good as well!

Located just a bit north of Halifax, the setting is like you a million miles away. You are about 20 minutes to Halifax, less than an hour to Peggy's Cove, but the setting is so tranquil you might just want to sit on the wharf by the lake. Great breakfast and wonderful host.

Overall house and our “Blue Notes” room was immaculate. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and different for the duration of our 5-night stay. Host Sam could not have been more attentive or thoughtful. He sat with us every morning to chat and inquire about our agenda for the day. He made value-added suggestions. We enthusiastically recommend this B&B. Also centrally located to downtown Halifax and scenic spots in this area of the province. (Laundry facilities available.) several thumbs up!

Great outdoor space to have morning coffee or eat dinner. Our host was very friendly and had good recommendations on where to eat in the area. Even though we didn't use them because of our one-night stay, we had access to laundry and table tennis. Nice conversation over breakfast with our host and fellow guests. The Burgundy was very clean and had a great location overlooking the river. I would come again and certainly suggest it to others.

Sam and Kaz were very welcoming. We were early for our check in time, but they were very accommodating. Very quiet location. Breakfast was made as needed and Sam was sure to communicate about needs and preference of each guest.
