A warm welcome from all staff for us ( & our Dalmatian who was spoilt rotten!). Food superb and room clean & cosy. Easy beautiful walks on the doorstep. Perfect!

It is impossible to overstate the standard of the Wensleydale Heifer. The awards affirm the restaurant quality and the standard of accommodation. What they do not evidence is the attention to detail that every member of staff personifies. This is the first opportunity we have had to stay at the Heifer, although we have eaten here before. The hotel was everything we hoped for and will become our "go to" place in the Dales. Thank you for a memorable stay!

The food was simply excellent with first class serving staff. A wonderful experience in every respect. Thank you to all for making our stay so enjoyable.

Everything was great from start to finish. The rooms are comfortable, staff are welcoming and helpful. All very clean throughout. The food was excellent although on the expensive side. Overall I would recommend to others and stay again.

Food and service are excellent, we had a lovely evening and breakfast this morning was also delicious. Only downside was the room, bedroom was fine, but the bathroom was poor, really needs an update, along with a shower that actually works.

Stayed here for the first time 14 March oh my what a treat. We stayed in the James Herriot room and it’s the little details such as a piece of cake a glass of port and the accessories were in keeping with the great man himself all very well thought out. We dined that evening and we were not disappointed the food was exceptional and well executed. A warm and welcoming experience by staff who were so friendly!

From our first warm welcome to our last goodbye, we would thoroughly recommend a night or two here and most certainly experience the great food whilst you are stay. We made great memories during our one night stay at the Wensleydale Heifer. Thank you Team.

5 star food and 5 star staff

Staff are excellent and very friendly. Stayed in the Bond room, was ok but a bit tacky. Bathroom ok but not at the rating of 5 star. Food was quite expensive for what it was. Parking is difficult and fills very quickly Due to layout and way people park.

Not exactly the type of room I expected for my wedding anniversary (the Heifer Room) but the food in the restaurant is amazing!

Lovely boutique hotel and gastro pub with plenty of parking. Very friendly staff throughout. Choice of themed rooms, each seemed to have their own unique features. The dinner and breakfast the next day were excellent. Highly recommended.

The themed rooms are a must, we stayed in the chocolate room and were spoilt with treats. We were celebrating a birthday and the birthday boy was given a balloon, beer and card, to make the event more special. The staff were friendly. The tasting menu was delicious and substantial. The breakfast was a must and worth staying over for. The little extra, the home made granola, yoghurt with fruit compote were an unexpected delight. We left with a homemade chilli jam.

Great Hotel good size rooms with lovely cosy traditional bar area, offering top class food.
