The room was adorable. The only thing I found inconvenient was I had to sit outside until check in time as there is no desk. Then you ring in and get your keys. Travelling alone it’s nice if you can leave your bag if you’re early. I was treated well.

It was a very beautiful room in the best place possible if you want to go out and with a thought through selection of amenities. The place seemed very professional and tidy, the bed the best I have slept in, but I found old bacon under the bed table, the curtain was broken and could not go up again and the wifi data provided in their own papers was incorrect. So I had to pay to use data in stead. I had met the staff several times earlier and they were not very welcoming og accomodating at any time - they just pointed me to my room. I also tried to contact the admin regarding supper but never heard back. I was only there from late night to check out the next day so it did not want to spend too much time insisting on assistance either - especially after the luke interactions i had had with the staff. But truthfully I think I should have had a discount for all the things that did not work - primarily the poor cleaning.

Venue had amazing local musicians, and the room wasn’t too loud when we were ready to sleep. Great location.

This was by far the most special place we stayed in Scotland! Our room was decorated beautifully and had so many extra perks, including the best in room coffee! Our room was located right above the stage and we never heard the music at all. The food and entertainment was top notch! Thanks to Nick , Doreen and Sweet Baily!

Great location great updated room

Room was clean but the bed was uncomfortable. Also this is upstairs from a bar that offers live music every night until about midnight. The bass would shake the room.

The room was clean, the location was convenient, and the entertainment downstairs was incredible.

The location could not be better for visitors to Inverness. The room had many modern amenities and was wonderfully decorated.

We loved staying at the Hootenanny. The room was lovely and the bar was great with excellent music and food. The bed was super comfy and the room was cozy. Bar staff were great and super friendly. Would have been five stars but communication from hotel staff was minimal even while we tried to reach via both the Expedia app and via text. Also no shampoo or conditioner was provided and for the price and convenience for travelers, it is somewhat the minimum.

The music playing downstairs was most enjoyable- great food in the restaurant too! Thanks!

Everything was better than expected and went smooth as silk. The room layout was quirky in the best of ways! Not a simple rectangle box - more like a suite - bedroom, bathroom, a teeny entry foyer, a couple of steps separating all three. In the heart of Inverness Center (Centre, if you prefer). Everything a tourist could want is within a short walk. The booking said unstaffed/no front desk; however, their was a Hootananny rep, familiar with our reservation and gave us an easy welcome - who was primarily working the bar/restaurant. I give it a fair thumbs up!

The rooms are separated from the bar/food area so the music is not an issue at all when in the hotel room. Very friendly staff and great food and drinks with live music!

Looking for the ultimate experience this is it on top of a pub a lot of stairs so make sure you leave your luggage in the car and pack a smaller bag —— extremely friendly the young lady who checked us in so sweet and the owner very very helpful andThis is a must must if you’re going to Inverness on the authentic Scottish experience

Great location in centre of Inverness. Rooms are well designed, clean and well thought. Much better than standard hotel. Simple set up and effortless.

Fine place to rest your head. Clean, big shower, can’t ask for more.

Room itself was fine. Clean and with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean with a good walk in shower.

When arriving at the property it looked very dated so wasn’t sure what the rooms were going to be like. We were greeted by the host and was taken to our top floor room. It was clean and nicely decorated with a large comfortable bed with lovely pillows and bed linen. The bathroom was exceptional too, I couldn’t fault the room at all. The tea/coffee facilities were fabulous. I would highly recommend.

I had room 7 absolutely gorgeous in every way, even though there was pub downstairs playing lovely Celtic music my room was so quiet, the decor was beautiful like cottage modern feel, little window seat you could see river ness, I sat there most of the time, the bedding 100% scrumptious white cotton sheets which I love, bed was hugh and luxurious, bathroom gorgeous, tartan tiles wow, honestly this was 5* for me. My every visit to Inverness I will try get this room it was sooooo cozy and warming & recommend it highly

Had a great stay in very comfortable room. Bed was so comfy didn’t want to get up! Bathroom spotless with great shower. Great coffee maker with loads of different types of coffee, and real milk in wee bottles. Will be back with my wife next time.
