Great location – van Gogh Museum short walk, airport bus short walk, supermarkets short walk. Very convenient location wise. Compact rooms – to be expected ! Our bathroom sink hardly flowed and was not sorted out which was a hassle; staff friendly and (as with most people in Amsterdam ) spoke English.

The staff members were all very polite and extremely helpful (arranging taxis, lending out a phone charger, extra towels, barista service). The hotel was within walking distance of many museums, countless restaurants and shops. All in all, a very good location. The rooms were small, but quiet, comfortable and clean.

This hotel was across the street from Vondelpark. Very walkable to museums. And many restaurants. I would stay there again. While the hotel did not have a restaurant, we were getting over jet lag so would have not gotten up in time to eat breakfast anyway. They did say they were working on opening a breakfast cafe.

Good location, close to tram stops, small but comfortable rooms. Something else to maintain it, but in general everything was fine! The hotel are located in front the Vondelpark.

We absolutely loved S&A Vondelpark, our room was on the 3rd floor and the building is so full of character while still having every amenity needed. The common areas and fireplace downstairs are very nice, the staff are friendly and the location is outstanding - vondelpark, cafes, restaurants, shopping are all so.convenient. Will definitely go back.

1st night there were power tools being used at 7am. 2nd day the water was turned off intermittently throughout the day with no warning. Shower was moldy. Hotel location was convenient.

Cancelled my room for one night had to then book a more expensive room in a different hotel

Great location

I was really looking forward to my time in Amsterdam, but this stay was a massive disappointment. Between the lack of hygiene and some very questionable management practices, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The most alarming part of the stay was the complete lack of security regarding luggage. When we needed to store our bags, the staff just let us walk into the storage closet by ourselves. Anyone could have easily walked off with someone else's belongings. It felt incredibly unsafe and unprofessional. The cleanliness was also well below par. There was a persistent, heavy smell of mold in the room that made it feel damp and unhygienic. It’s clear that maintenance and deep cleaning are not a priority here. There was staining on the iron board, sofa, and the shower curtains were nasty. The women working the morning shift were not welcoming or kind. It felt like a burden just to speak with them. The staff working at night were much nicer and more helpful, but their kindness couldn't make up for the overall state of the hotel. Overall, the combination of a moldy environment and the "self-service" security for personal property makes this a place to avoid.

Perfect place to stay. Right in the heart of the city, nothing was too far away. The hotel was clean, the staff was helpful & friendly. As first time visitors of Amsterdam it was perfectly close to everything we wanted to see (museums, canal tours, Foodhallen, etc). If my wife & I come back we will definitely try to stay here again. 10/10
