I loved my time at Nomas. It is exactly what it describes itself as.
The neighbourhood may whimsically be described as vibrant with lots of cuisines on offer and individual non-chain stores including a handy thrift store (for a jumper if the city is cooler than expected), a store selling products of Tibet and an art & craft store.
The restaurant in Nomas is fantastic! Too cool to have the world cup showing, even though Toronto was a host city. Loved that!! I did breakfast there everyday. Amazing cocktails too. Staff were friendly and helpful, at every turn.
If you want name brand hotel living, with sheets changed everyday, this isn't for you. However, if you want a place to stay while you explore the city, with accessible travel links, a varied choice of where to eat and friendly staff, go with Nomas. Plus the Bata and Royal museums are a feasible walk away.
The ultimate test is would I stay there again? Yes I would. Happily.
