Overall, the room and facilities were excellent, and I genuinely enjoyed my stay. However, I was disappointed with one service experience during check-in. When I arrived early, I asked if early check-in was available and was informed that the room was being prepared and that I would be contacted once it was ready. After waiting for about 1.5 hours, I decided to call, not because I was demanding an update, but simply because I was wondering about the room’s status since I had been told it was already being prepared. I also wanted to confirm that the correct contact number had been recorded, as I was concerned I may have provided the wrong one. Instead of addressing my concern, I was told, “We haven’t called you yet, right? So just wait.” I completely understand that the room was not ready and had no issue waiting. What disappointed me was the way the situation was handled, as the response felt dismissive rather than helpful. In hospitality, service is often what guests remember most. No matter how beautiful the property is, the quality of service plays a major role in whether guests choose to return. I hope this feedback can be taken constructively and used as an opportunity to further educate staff on guest communication. It is especially unfortunate because the hotel itself is excellent, and every other staff member I encountered, including the doormen, was warm, welcoming, and professional. This experience does not reflect the entire team, but it was the one aspect that stood out during an otherwise wonderful stay.
