The airport is situated in the Yubei District of Chongqing, the People's Republic of China and 19 kilometres north of the city centre of Chongqing. The airport also provides Chongqing Rail Transit Line 3 that operated from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport's Terminal 2 station through the city center via Lianglukou station and onto its final stop, Yudong, covering a distance of 60 kilometres and it takes around 50 minutes to get to the city center (Lianglukou). It situated in between the Wulong Karst National Geology Park and part of the South China Karst-Wulong Karst UNESCO World Heritage Site. The bridges are all named after dragons for each of three bridges.


Dazu Rock Carvings – It is famous by the sculptures and carvings of series Chinese religious that located in Dazu District, Chongqing, China. The carvings are from 7th century AD, showing and influenced by Buddhist, Confucian and Taoist beliefs. Some of it is in rock-cut cave shrines, in the usual Chinese Buddhist style. Dazu Rock Carvings also has been listed as a World Heritage Site, because they are made up of 75 protected sites containing some 50,000 valuable statues with over 100,000 Chinese characters forming engravings and epigraphs.
