What are the Top 3 Things to Do in Moranbah

Bridled-Nailtail Wallaby Sculpture - Situated in the Town Square Park which is near the walkway across to the shops is a statue of a Bridled-Nailtail Wallaby Statue which was created from the sandstone by sculptor Adriaan Vanderlugt in 2001. The Bridled-Nailtail Wallaby was supposed to vanish, but it has since been successfully raised and small numbers returned to the wild in the area.

Musical Playground - A amazing activity, especially for children, the Musical Playground in the Town Square Park includes a seat which can be played like a xylophone and a park table which can also be played and a rather expanded piece of railway furniture such as tracks and bits of machinery which can be beaten and banged.

Peak Range National Park - The most remarkable scenic attraction in the region is the Peak Range, a series of dramatic volcanic plugs which stand like watches rising from the plains some 121 km south of the town. The plugs were shaped when volcanoes, which erupted some 29 to 32 million years ago, cooled and the molten lava hardened in the volcanic pipes. The surrounding land has worn, leaving only the hard cores bulging. One of the most affected examples is Wolfang Peak on the southern side of the road from Clermont to Moranbah.
