Property was amazing. Fantastic views. Booked a single room with the kids, but was still very spacious. Buffet breakfast was wonderful. Staff were absolutely amazing.

Stayed here for a long weekend get away and catching a show. Sails is good hotel in a great location, close to bars, restaurants and the local club. Ate at the restaurant one night and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the meals. They do stiff you with car parking fees, which I think is a little rich. However we got a good deal on room rates, so not too bothered. Overall a great place for a getaway in Port Macquarie.

Rooms are updated and nice. Comfortable beds and pillows are ok. Very relaxed hotel. Our heater in the room didn’t work so it was a pretty cold 2 nights. Breakfast is ok but not that great. Have to pay extra for barista coffee- wasn’t aware until we went to check out and had to pay. I don’t mind paying but full disclosure would be nice.

Our checkin was lovely. The manager explained there was a wedding and to allow for noise. However she failed to let us know that the room we had made it feel like daytime with the lights off the car park. Further, the check out process was horrid. We checked out early (5.40am) and there was nothing to say how to check out early in place at the counter. I saw a lady in the office, I quietly knocked on the door and was met with quite a rude response. She was rude speaking with me and thereafter. I did point out that there was nothing to suggest what I should do in case of early check out. Such a bad way to end a nice evening.

Stay was great, downside was we ordered a meal on the QR code near pool and it loaded the table number. It took the order and money and said it was a 30-40min wait. We waited well over that and it never came. We went to our room and then room service knocked and had a cold burger and fish and chips. They said they had already tried to deliver it 20 minutes or so ago and no response. Pretty bad setup in that respect and the burger was not cooked through and frozen in middle. Food was average at best.

Great location, grounds, pool, spa, room and friendly staff. However reception failed to ask us to for our car registration plates and said we should have prepaid for parking. Ended up having to paid $65 for 2 nights outside parking. Wagyu steak was dry and not tender and steak knives were not sharp. Only minor complaints really but spoiled what was otherwise a 5-star experience.

Stayed a total of 4 nights at Sails this week starting from Anzac day, visiting the region for my cousin's wedding. Very enjoyable stay, staff were lovely and the room was spot on. Rooms every RYDGES I have stayed at in years seem to have similar decor and fittings so you know what to expect. The foyer and common areas are wonderful really, having been renovated since my last stay. For two nights I stayed with my mum so the beds were set up as singles, and then after mum moved onto the next port of call it was reverted to a king bed, which did provide a much greater sleep. The pool and spa facility at this hotel is wonderful. Clean, warm and very well maintained. Day two it was a little over chlorinated (auto system that rallied up due to 2 inches of overnight rain) resulting in a trip over the road to the chemist for some eye drops. Certainly fixed the next day by Brad, the very pleasant maintenance chap who has been there over 20 years. Says a bit to me about the workplace. The setting is great. Shops and a good community club across the road with a few nice eat out places as well, and stunning views of the Hastings River Breakfasts were amazing. Dinner at the Boathouse was pretty good too. Overall, It would be solid recommendation from me. Good for the kids if you were having a family stay, just make sure you get a bif enough room for all of you.

Our room had a strong smell of vomit and it was generally a bit tired. The lady on reception was excellent. Super friendly and helpful and sorted us a new room which unfortunately smelled of cigarette smoke but was tolerable. This property is definitely getting a bit dated and could do with a refresh but ok for the price and staff were excellent.

Arrived just before 9pm and booked last minute. Check in was quick and the room was large and beds were very comfortable. We wanted some food after travelling all day but room service had finished and the bar closed. As it hotel it’s underwhelming and overpriced.

Check in was disappointing. No vip upgrade. Bed and sheets were very good. Bathroom needs shelves for shampoo conditioner etc. Ok for 1 night stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Sails. We had a pool view family room and it was pleasant for a nights stay. The property is a little dated but it’s quiet and the outlook over the water is lovely.

Large room overlooking garden (we were offered free upgrade). Onsite restaurant was fine. We ate on the outside deck which was lovely. Pool onsite but we didn’t use. Central location and easy to find. Staff good.
