Kinugawa Onsen Nikko Kinugawa Hotel Mikazuki

This is modernized facility that offers so many services and events on site. I enjoyed dining services on specific hours, and structures of this facility were astonishingly beautiful. My only issue was that the Japanese-western style room that i booked had mediocre view from window that kinda ruined the value of money.

The Momiji suite is not what is pictured on Expedia. The description says open air bath, and shows a picture of a hot tub with floor to ceiling sliding doors. This is false! The hot tub room is completely enclosed with NO Open Air. Therefore the hot tub room air is close to the 40C/104F temperature of the tub. This promotes mold growth on the walls. The buffet is cheap food and the same every day. We saw between 4 and 7 tour busses stopping for just 1 night. That seems to be their target market. I do not recommend for vacation.

Disappointing! We booked the Momiji suite which is huge, clean and nice. But the “open air” bath tub is not at all open air. The private bath is enclosed in its own room which stays steamy 24/7, so the air is 40C/104F. This makes mold grow on the walls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The included food is a mediocre quality buffet that is exactly the same every day. It seems like Kinugawa has not recovered from Covid, as the town shuts down around 4:30 and there are very limited restaurant options when you get tired of the hotel buffet. On a positive note, Nikko National Park has many spectacular natural wonders. We thoroughly enjoyed hiking and mountain biking here.

Great food and onsen experience!

Rooms felt very musty. Breakfast was very ordinary.Not many staff spoke English.

Quiet cultural experience. We were the only foreigners we could see. Beautiful property, view and area. Not a lot of places to visit but enough for 1-2 days. FYI This property is not at the Nikko city but the Nikko area. Large buffet and free drinks. Beds on the floor and daughter was really on the floor but all part of experience. If you want a quiet experience away from the city then this is great- even better with small children as has a pool park next door.

Private onsen room was wonderful.

Need modernization. Broken tile, bad food. I had no idea they charged extra for public bath downstairs.

It's great to have a pool and hot spring on site. There are not many eateries in the area, so buffet is good. Because the hotel is big, buffet and hot spring can be very crowded. You many need to adjust time to avoid the crowd. In room bath tub is very dated and looks scary. They charge for towels at the pool, and you cannot avoid it.

その場で焼いてくれたステーキが美味しかった。 夕飯のデザートのテラミス、最高👍

景色も立地も温泉も良き

お風呂にゴミが浮いている。髪乾かす所 髪の毛がたくさん落ちているて定期的に掃除してなさそう。お風呂の施設自体は大変良かった 枕が潰れて低すぎ ブュッフェ　品数も無く味まイマイチ あさやに負けてます。残念でした。

綺麗なホテルで、食事もたくさんあり、美味しかったです。プールや温泉など、たくさん遊べるところがあり、遊ぶ時間が足りなかったです。また行きたいです。

お世話になりました 今回、4回目くらいで　大変お世話になりました　前はウェルカムランチなどなかったので　旅の疲れを着いてすぐ癒されホッと一息つけて良かったです ありがとうございました また頑張って行きたいと思いました

お部屋は広くて掃除も行き届いてた。 でもお風呂が暑いのが苦手で電話で確認したら、温度低く出来るし、水も出るから ぬるくなると言ってたのに、温度下げてもらっても普通に暑い。水は出ない。仕方ないので近くのホームセンターに行ってホースを買って来てシャワーの蛇口から水を引きました。 ご飯は本当に驚く程沢山ある。 朝夜に加えて早めに着いたら軽くランチがあっったり夜食があって充実してた。 ただクオリティーは、そんなに高くない。普通。あれだけの食事の量があれば仕方ない。たまにはブュッフェもいいかな？って感じ。 子供連れの人にはとてもオススメです。

滞在中とても快適に過ごせた

2025年5月17日に利用しました。 夕食時の外国人のマナーが悪すぎる！割り込みは当たり前、スタッフも見て見ぬ振り、非常に不愉快 でした。ちゃんとルール説明が必要だと思います。 改善願います。 それがなければ、また利用したい素晴らしいホテルでした。
