I loved the bonuse of organic products and breakfast. I didnt use the onsen or join happy hour, but I think they are assets. I will highly recommend this hotel.

Another clean, affordable, great amenities with buffet breakfast and excellent customer service. This has been my 3rd hotel in Japan and this is my favorite hotel I've stayed in. I appreciate the friendly staff and delicious buffet breakfast.

Know that NO TAXI can take you or pick you up from the front door. Use Yamato Transport to forward your bags to/from here and you're all set. VERY CONVENIENT hotel in the heart of the main shopping district. Rooms are teensy-tiny and best-suited to 1 person; however, a couple could make it work, but it's TIGHT. Bathroom is wonky, but it's clean with a deep tub. Would easily stay here again as it's a GREAT VALUE.

Cab/Uber cannot drive on the street so they will drop you off at the next block. Bathroom is very small but had everything we could need. Hotel was super clean and staff was very helpful. I couldn't use the spa because i had tattoos.

This hotel is absolutely the best cost effect hotel we have stayed in, in Japan! The staff are so friendly, great breakfast, eco conscious, clean. They do 2 hours of unlimited free drinks, including localled produced sake every evening. Onsen. They helped with our bag transfer. So kind to our children and accommodating. Easy and cheap selfserv clothes washing! Perfect location. Just super fab, we loved it. Little bits of potential improvement; would bennice to have more security, people can walkminto the lift and up to rooms without passing reception, would be nice to have fruit at breakfast and for na eco friendly hotel we didnt understand the disposable forks, cups and plastic wrapped wet wipes at breakfast.

Great hotel which is situated in a good location for exploring Kyoto (and a direct train to Osaka is only a few mins away). Staff were super helpful. The laundry and spa facilities were really handy plus the happy hour drinks were a nice added bonus.

Great location and amazing breakfast

Everything was clean, perfect location for accessing the main shopping and tourist areas and transport. Hot spring bath was nice to relax after a long day walking. Breakfast was great with the main Japanese dishes changed each day we were there, including traditional new year's dishes which was nice. We liked choosing our own pillows and the beds were comfortable. There were only 2 things we didn't like, the smoking floor was one level below our rooms and sometimes we felt that we could smell them. The other was the tiny bathroom which required a large step up and to be a contortionist to move around in. I accidentally flushed the toilet with my elbow while trying to press a button on the bidet lol. But overall a good budget stay for the location.

My favourite hotel from my recent Japan trip! I absolutely love everything that this hotel had to offer starting from the heartfelt and warm hospitality of the service staff from reception to dining halls to cleaning crew - everyone was full of smiles and positive energy, ready to assist and welcome you. I enjoyed the public bath, which was very cleanly maintained tho shared between both genders. The breakfast provided was delicious and the mains changes daily! Happy hour drinks were such a delight as well with drinks ranging from sakes to plum wine and more! I also enjoyed how I didn’t have to bring a keycard out as it the doors are operated by keypad system hence not worrying of locking my key in as I tend to do so sometimes. You may also check the laundry, dining hall and public bath situation with the TV. Netflix is available as well! The location is absolutely divine. With sooo many delicious local eateries just in front of the hotel, to all 3 major conbinis within walking distance, to Nishiki market to many sightseeing spots, shopping and public transportation - I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. Takashimaya is nearby too and the food hall in the basement should not be missed! They also assist with luggage forwarding and filling up of the airway bill. The team has simply one of the best service I’ve experience in Japan. Defo recommending this hotel for people coming to Kyoto!

Awesome location, great breakfast, wonderful service!

One of the best stays in Japan. 5min walk to metro and bus stop to get everywhere in Kyoto. 2min walk to popular shopping and eating strips. Laundry was only 100 yen per 30min, which was cheapest that Ive seen in Japan so far. Room was standard small Japanese size but has everything you need. TV was huge, like 55 inch. Only negative is that it cant access USB to watch your own movies and shows but has netflix - use your own account. Breakfast was a small selection compared to other Japanese hotels. Happy hour was ok. Would stay again due to location.

I book this hotel whenever I'm in Kyoto. Great location and service. However, this is the first time I had to get house keeping to clean the toilet/bathroom again. I will still book Super again the next time I'm in Kyoto.
