Bunc Hostel is Singapore’s largest boutique hostel. The hostel offers affordably priced boutique style hostel rooms for the social explorers. Mixing fun and style, the hostel encourages guests to value social engagements and explorations with new friends. Set conveniently in Little India, a buzzing historic area that shows off the best of Singapore’s Indian community, it offers a vibrant culture as a background for activities such as shopping for incredible fabrics, spices, jewelry and etc, indulge in authentic Indian cuisine, immersing in the cultural artistic elements and unique bohemian vibe of the street life, and visiting some of the oldest temples in the district. Little India is a great choice for travellers interested in universal studios, convenient public transport and city trips. The hostel is also conveniently located just 2 minutes away from Rochor MRT Station and is within a 10-minute walk from both Little India MRT Station and Bugis MRT Station. It is also a 10-minute drive from Cityhall and a 15-minute drive from Orchard Road. Chinatown, Clarke Quay and Boat Quay are also a 15-minute drive away.
How to Get to Bunc Hostel
Singapore is Southeast Asia's largest aviation hub. Singapore’s national carrier is Singapore Airlines and its regional subsidiary SilkAir, Singapore is also home to low-cost carriers Tiger Airways, Jetstar Asia and Scoot. There are also direct services to Europe, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, North America, and even South Africa. Singapore is also a popular stopover point between Australia and Europe, for airlines such as KLM, Mann Travel, British Airways, Etihad Airways and Emirates. Getting into the city from the airport is fairly easy as there are plenty of transportation options such as taxis, MRT and busses. The hotel is located approximately 16.6km from the airport and travellers can easily get there via taxi or by using public transportation. You can easily take a taxi from the airport to get to the hostel. You may ask the taxi to go by the ECP expressway and then take Exit 15 (Rochor Road/Sheares Avenue) and head down to Upper Weld Road. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes and costs about SGD25 one way.
By Airport Shuttle
Another alternative to get to the hostel is by the airport shuttle. You can approach the Ground Transport Desk at the Arrival Halls for bookings. The counter is open 24 hours daily and will cost SGD9 per trip.
By Public Transportation
If you plan to take the MRT to reach the hostel, take note that the journey will take approximately 40 minutes. You need to take the train heading towards Tanah Merah Station. Then transfer to platform B and board the train going towards Joo Koon. Alight at Bugis Station and transfer to the Downtown Line heading towards Bukit Panjang Station. Finally, alight at Rochor Station. The journey will cost SGD2 for a single trip ticket.

The hostel is decked out with bunk beds designed and customised for a good night’s sleep, and there is a range from 6 beds dormitories to 16 beds dormitories, perfect for friends, families and also travellers looking to experience the warmth of befriending like-minded strangers. Fitted with air conditioning, the chic mixed or female dormitory rooms feature sleeping spaces with personal reading lights and 260-thread-count sheets. Individual wall power sockets and personal lockers are also included. Bathroom facilities are shared. The hostel is also complimented with free Wi-Fi and daily breakfast.

There are no restaurants or cafes on the premises. However, there is a shared kitchen that is open to all guests. In the shared kitchen, a microwave, toaster and drinks vending machine are available for guests' use. A simple breakfast is provided free of charge every morning.

Gardens by the Bay - The park consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden. The Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest can be found at the Bay South Garden. In the Flower Dome, flowers and trees from all over the world are exhibited. Meanwhile, in the Cloud Forest, the microclimate of a cloud forest has been recreated on several floors which also includes a waterfall. On the terrain itself, the most eye-catching features are the 'Supertrees', with their multifunctional use (recycling rainwater, light show etc.) and the canopy walk.
Little India - Little India is one of the most vibrant and culturally authentic districts of Singapore. Take in the sights, sounds and smell as you immerse yourself in an authentic Indian experience in Singapore. Its charm lies in the fact that many of olden-day trades can still be found by its roadsides, alleys and back lanes: fortune-tellers and their parrots, flower vendors selling garlands of jasmine, kachang puteh (roasted nuts).
Orchard Road - Apart from being a shopping district, Orchard Road also houses with some fine museums and colonial architecture. Museums include the national museum of Singapore, Battle Fox, and the Singapore Art Museum.
