Too bad we only had a short transit stay. Location has a nice view and peaceful neighborhood. Would be keen to come back.
Nice and comfy, but the location is quite challenging. You have to walk up the hill from the MRT station Little India, the staff is very nice and helpful, common area is great
I stayed in a women dorm and I can say it's decent. It has a window that you can see the greens outside, and you can chill at the rooftop or beside at Emily Hill. They will give you a towel and retain a deposit of SGD 20 for the room card. You have a safety box and room for your baggage. The only downside is smell a little bit of stinky smell in the toilet, but it's all clean. The distance to Little India MRT is much closer about 8mins but you can walk further to Dhoby Ghaut MRT if you wish or you can walk straight to Orchard Road.
For what you're paying, it's actually quite good, it's also about 10-20 mins from orchard but you or people picking you up may have trouble finding the place, but once your there it's actually pretty easy.
Nice place and clean, good food
The score of the breakfast meal sure can be improve. One point dragging bring the overall score down, the rest of the ambience is excellence.
The go-to hotel when you are traveling.
Nice place. They have an unofficial smoking area which is very civilised
Great place to stay for a few days, clean rooms and bathroom, nice recreational area for relaxing, and fast internet.
Second time I stay in here. Everything is perfect, nice and clean

Great stay
We stayed for two night in a private room. We arrived at 2.30am and was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The staff go out there way to help you and even gave up a map which came in handy. The room itself was clean and modern, ours did not have a window but that didn’t matter to us. The location is good, just sort walk to little India which has great selection of street food. We got a Uber to gardens by the bay and walked back because they was so much we wanted to see along the way. If you like a walk the location will not be a problem at all. We was able to leave our bags in storage for free until we went to the airport. The only let down was the breakfast it was just the basic but it was ok Overall I would stop here again.

Great facilities and staff
This hostel was very clean and modern and the facilities were great, the dorm rooms are big. the staff also were very nice and helpful. I am not sure about the location because I was there for only one night, to get some sleep inbetween flights.

How did this hotel get such a good rating?
I booked hotel Hangout for 3 says but stayed there only for 2 days. Let me enumerate the reasons why: 1. The hotel is clean but the has a tiny rooms with beds where the mattress is old and not comfortable. 2. No TV’s in the Private rooms. 3.No Kettle, No Fridge. 4. Indeed the Private rooms are liken to a cell! Nothing like the pictures posted to advertise the hotel. 5. Breakfast wasn't great too. The food that they have is not really pleasing to a guest. Breads and a few choices of spreads like strawberry jam, peanut butter and butter, cereals, coffee from the machine, tea and green apples. It is sad to know that they have this kind of breakfast buffet. 6. This hotel is not very far from the MRT (Little India and Dhobi Ghout) stations. Make sure that you wear comfortable walking shoes since you will be walking up and down a hill, climb up and down a series of steps, just to get to a train station and back to the hotel. SO, if you are saving on time and you are not into long walks, don't stay in this hotel. You don't get to save on breakfast anyway since there's nothing to eat here during breakfast. I do not recommend this hotel.

Great Stay!
Had a great 02 night stay here and it was great! Was in town for a 3 days event and found this place to be really ideal and comfortable. Location is best accessible with personal transport (parking lots for guest are available)

One of the best hostels I've stayed in
I'd like to be able to give this place 41/2 stars but you can only give 4 or 5. It has an elevator and is a clean and well organised establishment. Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms (each bed in a dorm room has it's own small closet space and counter also functioning as a divider between the next bed with electrical outlets a foot above the bed -if you're lying down, really convenient as in easy reach). The bathrooms are clean and if you're in a dorm room, at least in the room I was in, there is a bathroom and shower specifically in the room for the occupants. Tthe beds are really comfortable - oh so important after you've gotten off a long haul flight, and a nice quiet environment (residential area -primary school up the road and a child care centre across the street). The only downside is they have no fridges or a kitchen. They have a lounge area, again with comfortable chairs and television and a machine for dispensing hot/cold water, a microwave and a sink, and they also have a dining area providing a basic breakfast from7:30-9:30 in the mornings, but the lack of a proper kitchen with fridges makes it difficult if you have specific dietary requirements and need to bring/prepare your own food. But otherwise this is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced place to stay in Singapore and I would stay here again.
