The service was actually substandard for a 5 stars hotel. A birthday compliment was actually promised during check in but was not fulfilled. That left us quite disappointed, as this staycation was made for a birthday occasion. Another thing, we went to the pool, the large umbrella was not put up (and it was scorching hot), we walked back to the counter at the entrance to request someone to help me open the umbrella for some shade. A woman came and stared at me, saying that “this umbrella was put down by another guest”, then tried to escape the scene right after finishing that line (despite me waiting for close to 20 minutes under the hot sun for her grand appearance). I then told her that the guest has left and now I’m sitting here, I want the umbrella to be up? Her reply was ridiculous. It does not make sense at all that the previous guest put down the umbrella and it has to stay that way. Guess what was her next reply? “Oh, I don’t know how to open the umbrella”. Just like that! She simply walked away after saying that line. I was left speechless, completely. It really shows how trained staffs at Fullerton were. In fact it’s simply unacceptable to “think that the issue is solved” by simply replying a “I don’t know”. What’s with the “Simply can’t be bothered” attitude at Fullerton? She wasn’t busy at all as I left the place shortly after as it was too hot, was getting a sunburn, yet she went back to sit down (she was using her mobile device at the counter). She did not even look at us as we leave, but only chased after us after realising we were at the entrance of the SPA before asking for our room number to “check out”. Lmao. This is really a circus hotel I swear. Did I mention, that my bathtub was not cleaned at all? There were hair remnants everywhere which I had to clean myself. Absolutely stunned. Breakfast was alright, nothing really wow. Had lunch at Jade, which was delightful and the only saving grace of this whole staycation.
