The hostel satisfied me the most so far. Very patient & satisfying service, clean and comfortable, free locker, not far from MRT, adjacent to minimarket, free breakfast, unlimited coffee & tea, and goods deposit upon check out. Highly recommended for backpacker!

The worst hostel I stayed on my trip.
1. The bed was like sleeping directly on springs. 2. They charge you $5 SGD to store your bag the next day (conflicting with their statement on hostelworld, "We understand the needs of budget travelers"). I've never, ever had a hostel or hotel charge this before! Where's the common courtesy?? 3. No blankets were provided and my bed was DIRECTLY under an air con vent so had to ask for blankets and was given rags (I had to use 4 to stay warm) 4. No locks on any of the dorm doors so I guess we have to put trust in every other backpacker staying there, and ladies if you want to feel secure while sleeping at night, too bad. Oh and hope you're ok with unisex showers. 5. The whole place stunk of smelly feet as you have to take your shoes off to go upstairs, meaning there's a huge pile of smelly shoes in the staircase that wafts throughout the halls. 6. They don't serve beer as stated on TripAdvisor ("We also serve the cheapest cold beer in the entire Singapore"). 7. Unlike every other hostel I've stayed at they do not have individual lamps and plug sockets for each bunk, so anytime someone need a bit of light it would wake up the whole dorm. 8. While I was eating my very generous breakfast (a boiled egg.. seriously guys, drop the useless breakfast in exchange to store bags for free on check out day, which one is really more valuable to travellers??) two guests were showing the receptionist their bodies covered in bed bugs from their stay there. 9. The scooter tour is only twice a week which was not the nights I was staying there, the others in my dorm booked this hostel solely because of that tour and weren't there for those days - they really need to be clearer on when they tours are available. For $45 SGD for 2 nights I'd highly recommend choosing somewhere else to stay, it can't get much worse than this one and the area is really great with plenty of other hostel options.

Facility is nice, but room for improvement
The building itself is good for a budget backpacker's hostel. The air conditioning is turned off until night, and the upper floors smell bad during this time. Staff were a mixed bag. Daniel yelled at some of my friends for no reason and was very rude.

Friendly helpful staff, great location, quiet (Downstairs) room.
I stayed for three nights at the beginning of October 2017. I had read some bad reviews before going but was pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and helpful, common areas were kept clean, breakfast and free tea and coffee were much appreciated. I had read some bad reports on the upstairs rooms being noisy and hot. I stayed in a downstairs room which was very comfortable! Yes the mattresses were a bit thin and wiry but that doesn't bother me at all. The room was a nice temperature for sleeping and very dark and silent in the morning, I even slept in! I missed out on the scooter tour, so remember to book in advance if you want to do that. It's in the heart of Little India and there are great small Indian cafe's all around, very close to the MRT! I would definitely stay here again.

Expected more
The best part about this hostel is it's location. It is easy to get to from the MRT and close to some good restaurants and little india. The service was horrible. People working there were less than friendly and not keen to help when you have a question. Rooms are old. Mattresses are thin and I had a blood spot on my sheets. Bathrooms are okay. Expected a bit more from a place so highly ranked.
