Chic hotel with unique design of each room, friendly staff. Lot of restaurant nearby. Within walking distance to Rochor MRT.
6.9
Everything was ok. All goods and quality situation at all! Especially the mattress. But tiba2 so disappointing because the air conditioner was on maintenance and service department did not come until we check out :(
9.1
First impression of time until the hotel ngebingungin because the hotel is old bgt, but fitting into the inside really nice! Time fitting into his room (i reserved mono deluxe) simple but very spacious! The furniture is minimalist and guns cramped like most hotels in singapore. Clean hotel, clean rooms, bathrooms have facilities to disable in each room. Totally recommended!

the room is super tiny with no separate seating area. and lower floors are really noisy even in night time. no upgrade nor breakfast for platinum members. stay away if possible, your money is better spent else where

Not good value for SPG members
I have given the Wanderlust a few tries but it always manages to fall short. Rooms are quirky but design won over practicality - like the hanging rail that could only accommodate shirts of small children because a column and a weird shelf take up most of the space below the rail. The suites have bizarre arrangements that leave you clambering down a steep ladder to the bathroom. Rooms are small and several are so overlooked it is necessary to keep the curtains closed permanently. No gym, no pool, very limited public areas. On the upside the reception staff are polite. SPG Platinum recognition essentially ZERO. Even the late check out benefit that is supposed to be available at Design hotels is totally ignored.

A 'boutique' hotel
First time we ever stayed in a ‘boutique’ hotel. I don’t know why they called that but the decoration of that Hotel is quite unique and interesting. The rooms are very colourful. So glad we got the blue colourful room, it is our favorite colour too. But the room is quite small. No desk or even a place to put on our luggage. Lucky they provided hanger so we can just hang out clothes and closed the luggage. The shower was nice and very spacious, surprisingly with that narrow room. The room was clean. A little bit noisy but it is still okay during our stayed. This hotel is a member of SPG but SPG privilledge membership does not apply in this hotel. And has to make a call to SPG to get your night stay counts.

Quirky Boutique in Little India
COnsidering how funky and bohemian artsy the hotel looks, it is located in a neighborhood you would least expected it to be! But putting the chaotic location aside, the property is a very tastefully decorated establishment with everything from the props and artifacts in the Lobby to the stuff in the room oozing bohemian chic! Absolutely value for money if you snag it at the right price(I paid 160 SGD!) LOCATION: Located in the heart of Little India, stone’s throw away from Bugis and Arab quarter DINE + DRINK: Cute lobby bar and a limited restaurant that could be mistaken for a funky lounge in a fancy neighborhood in an european capital ROOM: I stayed in 201, so this review is based on that. The room itself is very nicely decorated, including the lively and colorful paint! Fittings and tiles are all fancy; VIEW: Nice view of the city from multiple windows, which makes the place look very bright and roomy!; SIZE: Very spacious room, for this part of the town; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Lovely tiled bathroom with Stand in Rain shower and a separate toilet; TOILETRIES: Ecogenesis brand Cosmetics FACILITIES:Be prepared to get into a pure chill-out mode, as they dont have a gym or a pool! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages. a The room also comes with a HANDY device ( a limited smart phone) all for yourself during the stay that will allow you to make phone calls as well as access mobile internet while you are outside the room - Super cool!

Cool rooms but not so keen on the steep ladder to the bed!
We were upgraded to the typewriter room on arrival and whilst very cool, personally for us the very steep ladder to the mezzanine bed was a bit impractical. The hotel itself is really lovely, great bar and staff that couldn't be more helpful. The smart phone you get in the room is a great touch as well, albeit ours was a little temperamental at times! The location was a great one if you're happy to get around on the MRT, it's a little bit of walk to the main 'touristy' places if you're not but still manageable if you wear the right shoes! Overall pretty good value for an unusual boutique hotel in what is a very expensive city.
