The Labranda Bahia de Lobos is in a great location - a quiet side road off the main road that runs into the centre of Corralejo. It’s about 15-20 minutes walk past all the shops, bars and restaurants to the harbour. All the staff were great - the people at reception were friendly and efficient on arrival, the cleaners were very thorough and charming, and the waiters were quick to help and to clear the tables. Our room in block H was really spacious and peaceful. If you like it quieter ask for a room near the smaller pool. Here everyone was reading books. The larger pool with the adjacent paddling pool near the restaurant and the bar was busier and noisier. The grounds were really well kept and the planting of palms and cacti was beautiful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We ate out the rest of the time so can’t speak for lunch or dinner. We paid £20 refundable deposit for pool towels, and £20 to vacate our room a couple of hours later than the midday check out time.

The pool was very big, however it was incredibly cold. Food was very good. A good selection of choice for children and adults. Our room was not the best. The sofa bed was on its last legs. It completely v-ed in the middle. Ive never seen a sofa bed like it. There was also a fire extinguisher box positioned outside our room which was directly below a air con vent. It meant when our upstairs neighbour had their aircon on, we were kept awake by the constant loud dripping as the water fell from a height onto the plastic box. The location of the hotel was perfect. Close to shops, restaurants and the beach. We would return but not to that particular room.

So looks nice when enter and location is great. Once in room noticed needs touch up with paint and something to stop doors squeaking. Beds moved which was annoying. Food - breakfast is pretty much best, lunch and dinner had lots of recycled food and fatty pork and steak. Chips were half cooked at times. I survived on ham & cheese on toasted bread and pizza.

This isn't a cheap hotel to stay at and I expected a lot more from it. I would say its a 3 star certainly not 4. After reading reviews before booking i saw that there were a lot of reviews on the food being good however this was not the case I was served raw chicken at lunch time, the food was repetitive and cold unless you got to the restaurants as soon as they opened you may get lukewarm food. The pool bar was only occasionally open and when it was the drink machines didn't work, same for the main bar and drinks in the restaurants, nothing seemed to fully work. The restaurant staff are rude and nasty and don't appreciate some guests medical needs and abilities. The check in staff were lovely and helpful, however when we got to our room the door wouldn't work but maintenance were quick to sort this. Housekeeping did a good job however we asked them several times for more soap and it took 3 times of asking to get any. The whole place though could do with a lick of paint and a refresh. The hotel location is good but that's about the best thing it has going. Overall I was very disappointed in the hotel.
