I loved my stayed, the hotel is so unique and cute. The breakfast was really good and the staff members ver attentive. The location of this hotel is very continent due to its proximity to many dining options, shops, walkable and public transport. The room was perfect and loved the heated floors in the bathroom since you will mostly experience some cold in Stockholm.

Old style european hotel with modern sets ups (free wifi, ecologically minded). Charming historical building and decor. Very clean and well kept. Perfect location in old city - just walk out the door and you are there close to royal palace, shops, restaurants, close to trains and buses. Staff is friendly and very helpful with whatever asked. Very accommodating for those with disabilities and there is an elevator for upper floors, but may want to check out if this is place for your specific needs if you have serious ambulatory issues as there are limited hours that taxis or other cars can enter the old city if you need that, and most streets are cobble stone in this part of Stockholm. Simple but ample free european breakfast with options for all. Not alot of "extra amenities" (no "spa," small lobby, does not have their own restaurant or bar, etc) - but since any of that are steps outside - why do you need that? This was the perfect place for us and we will be back! Highly recommend.

Property was as advertised. We stayed in one of the two basement rooms. Pretty tight quarters for a family of four, but beds were comfortable and room was very quiet. Continental breakfast was functional. Our only complaint was our room was pretty warm, but we knew it wasn't air conditioned and not much the hotel can do about the unseasonably warm temperatures. They did provide a small fan that helped somewhat. The hotel staff was great. Hard to beat the hotel's location.

The staff was absolutely amazing! So kind and helpful. The location was unbeatable and gave access to the old town directly out the front door. I loved having a window to the main road and on the side of the building. I had a nice cross breeze at night. The only cons to being in that location, is that though it is a walking district, people to stay out until about 1 AM and garbage trucks started between 6 and 7 AM. There was a heat wave while I was there and though there was no AC in the room, a fan was provided. I was fine with it, but if my husband were with me, it would've been too warm for him. Despite the cons, I would stay there again. Hotel hallway noise was nearly nonexistent except for an occasional door closing, and fellow travelers were pleasant.

The hotel is located in the heart of Gamla Stan so there are countless shopping & dining options within walking distance. Since one member of our party is elderly and cannot walk far, this was a major plus. Gamma Stan is beautiful, and the staff was very attentive and helpful during our 3-night stay.

They advertise themselves as a luxury boutique hotel, but for over $200 per night here is a list of issues we had. - shower leaking - very thin walls made it hard to sleep - room was incredibly small (couldn’t even open our suitcases on the floor) - no closet or storage space - no ventilation in the room, made it very hot and muggy - spider webs all over the ceiling - lots of chipped paint - room was very poorly cleaned — lots of dust, empty cans of nicotine gum when we checked into the room, comforter was stained yellow - bedside light didn’t work - no shampoo or conditioner - the included breakfast was just loose lunch meat and coffee

An absolute gem of a hotel, perfectly placed for exploring all of Stockholm. Simple but tasty breakfast, with three types of bread, as well as proper vegan and gluten free breakfast options. My single room was a proper room, not the usual afterthought of a tiny box room that single travellers so often get dumped in. Plenty of space for one, clean and attractive. All the rooms are like ship cabins. Will definitely stay here again.

Advertised as having a lift, primary reason why we picked this over other options. Rooms for 4 are actually in the basement so not serviceable by the lift. This should be described more clearly, very disappointing. Room was exceptionally dim and some light fixtures were coming off the ceiling. Reception was helpful and accommodating. Poor breakfast selection, skip this and step out onto the street, there are various options just steps away, with better coffee. Great location, just be aware that taxis may not be able to drive down the street throughout the day as its too tight and will deposit you a short walk away. Great if you don’t have much luggages or small children. Bed fairly comfortable.

When there was a problem of my room being downstairs and not serviced by the elevator, I walk with a cane after a stroke, the desk clerk took my 2roller bags down for me then I struggled down 2flights of steep concrete stairs. That afternoon they moved me to the main floor to a smaller room. The hotel was fully booked for the rest of the week so I was moved about 4blocks to their 5star hotel with a nice elevator. They moved my bags for me. Such helpful staff and management. Would recommend Lord Nelson or Victory Hotels.
