Overall, reasonable for price paid. Room strangely laid out with no bedside tables, dining room unavailable after 6.30 pm and few good options nearby. Staff generally good and friendly. Location definitely a downside...long walk to central mall area and beach, especially when it's hot out there!

I stay in Hotel J residence couple nights, overall it's nice looking hotel, clean rooms. I had a problems with a toilet and a shower lil bit broken. Sometimes hard to comunicate with a staff but they are very polite. I stay before in a better places that's why for me was ok.

The hotel and staff were all that I would expect for the price range. Some wear in the bathroom but functioned just fine. My main dislike is the availability of the baht bus to and from beach road. It is not easy to get a bus that goes up to the hotel from the dolphin circle. They all want to turn around and continue the beach loop. And there are not to many that go the other way bringing you to the dolphin circle. I had to walk most times both day and night. The taxis and the busses looking for the private fare are willing to go up that street but the regular 10 baht service was almost non existent. Not convenient for that reason. But the place was good.
