Great spot, the resort backs onto one of the Khao Sok National Parks trails so right in nature! We stayed in the riverside room and it was large and luxurious. Staff are really friendly and attentive but would recommended a translator app if you don’t speak Thai, will make it easier for everyone. Resort is close to many amenities, 3 minute walk to the National Park entrance.

The resort was being refurbished so the swimming pool was not available. We had a complimentary dinner (limited menu) to compensate. Food was average. The room was large with fridge, but no lockable safe. A padlock was used to secure the room on the outside when out of the bungalow. This meant that it was obvious that no one was in the bungalow, which gave security concerns. Quiet location by the river.

Upon arriving at KRR we were told the treehouse room we picked was just painted and we might not like the smell so the manager gave us the option of picking 2 of the other room types. One would be an upgrade and the other was not. Personally I think she saw that we were in our mid 50's and thought the room might not be for us. Anyway, we looked at the other two and chose the upgraded room. The room seemed somewhat clean, but being in a forest there are a lot of creatures and we had guests. From lizards to ants crawling on the wall. Also, the next morning upon leaving there was a huge pile of dead bugs outside the back door that were not there before. ? So here are my two gripes about KRR, the bed was stiff as a board, I guess kind of common in Thailand, but none the less a bad night sleep! Also the whole area seemed to only have western travelers, the television has only Thai speaking channels. not a big deal but would like to watch a little tv before bedtime. The area around KRR is very nice as there are quite a few places to eat, drink and shop while enjoying some lovely scenery! Keep in mind its a rainforest and there are some skeeters so be prepared! Also watch out for monkeys! My girlfriend left the car door open while moving some things from different suitcases and a monkey jumped into the car. She shushed him away before he could take anything. All in all a decent stay if you don't mind some of natures guests here and there!
