— What You Can Expect —

See the first rays of the Uluru sunset while enjoying a hot cup of tea or coffee. Travel to the 36 mystical formations of Kata Tjuta. On the way, enjoy panoramic views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta, before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend some time exploring the gorge and the unusual rock domes. Take a walk along the Walpa Gorge trail and follow the creek between two of the tallest domes. Visit Kata Tjuṯa Cultural Centre and purchase some locally-crafted Aboriginal art to bring your loved ones back home. Set off to the base of Uluru with a local guide and learn about the native flora and fauna, all while discovering an array of fascinating sacred sites. Take a walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole and explore a number of caves where you can view Aboriginal rock paintings. Relax with a glass of wine and snacks at sunset as you witness the many shades of Uluru as the sun dips down over the horizon. The next day, travel to Kings Canyon from Ayers Rock Resort, stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station along the way. Climb to the rim of the canyon and see marvelous views of Watarrka National Park. Don't miss your chance to look down into the canyon gorge. Choose to visit the green oasis of the 'Garden of Eden'.

The circuit walk takes approximately three (3) hours to complete, and is rocky and steep in parts. It is recommended for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the canyon floor. When you return to Ayers Rock Resort, enjoy lunch (at your own expense).
