5 Exciting Things to Do at Dino Park (Jatim Park 3)

Description: Dino Park (Jatim Park 3) promises various fun adventures in Batu, inspired by the prehistoric era. Traveloka provides vouchers and easy access to the park.

Ever dreamed of visiting a prehistoric theme park just like the one in Jurassic Park? Would you like to see the world during the Stone Age and Ice Age? Now you can! The Dino Park at Jatim Park 3 in Batu, Malang, offers a great place for exploration and adventures everyone can enjoy. A part of the Jawa Timur Park Group in East Java Province, Dino Park is a recommended destination for travelers exploring Batu.

Dino Park combines a dinosaur-themed park with an educational facility. Visitors can learn and have fun while exploring this interesting park. Here are some recommended activities you can do with your family.

    Exploring the “Five Ages”

Dino Park has Jelajah Lima Zaman (Exploring Five Ages), a train ride that carries the passengers through five different periods in the prehistoric era. The ride, which seats 48 people, starts its journey from the Permian Age. It continues through the Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Ice Age. Each room uses dioramas and videos to create interactive and immersive experiences. The best thing about these Five Ages zones? Each dinosaur diorama has a 1:1 scale. Going past each dinosaur will feel like a real adventure. Passengers will also watch a short show called Dino Attack before starting the ride, to get into the right feel before entering the prehistoric era zones.

    Learning about Dinosaurs

The Dino Museum is where you learn more detailed information about dinosaurs. You can see dioramas, dinosaurs’ bones, and various interactive installations. You can also learn about dinosaurs’ habitats, their habits, and their origins. The museum partners with scientific institutions in Indonesia to curate their data and collections, making sure that everything you learn is accurate.

    Walking with Dinosaurs

The train ride only takes you through a series of rooms, while the museum displays stationary exhibitions. The Rimba is the place to experience the “real” interaction with dinosaurs. Here, you can walk among dinosaur robots with actual sizes. They can move and even produce sounds. You can experience similar things in the Ice Age arena.

    Trying the Fun Rides

Dino Park also has other rides to have fun. Dino Action Naga Cloning is a tunnel ride with a train that seats only eight people. It takes the passengers through a tunnel adorned with music, light displays, and beautiful visual effects. Istana Boneka Family Fun Rides is a more appropriate option for smaller children. Don’t forget to experience fun playtime and exploration at the Active Fun House!

    Taking Cute Pictures

Holiday is not complete without taking some cute pictures for your Instagram albums. Dino Park has a lot of great spots for taking pictures or selfies. Visit Life with Dino to take pictures with various dinosaur models. If you are still within the Jatim Park 3 area, visit Legend Star, a wax museum that displays statues of famous people from around the world.

    Performances at Dino Park

Dino Park hosts various performances within regular schedules, which you can check at the theme park’s official website. Welcoming Dance is a regular morning show that starts at 10.50. If you visit after lunchtime, you can watch How to Train Your Dino, a fun performance that describes “the best way to train dinosaurs.” This performance starts at 14.00 and is only available on weekdays. At 15.00, there is a dance performance called Desert Dance, which is performed on the Dinotophia Stage and only available on weekdays. Afterward, you can watch Meet with Flinstone Family, which starts at around 16.30 (15.00 during the weekend) in The Rimba. Finally, when you are about to leave, you can watch the last performance, Closing Party. Starting at 17.45 and only available during weekend, this show is the opportunity to say goodbye and take another selfie. Since the performances are held at different zones, you can plan your schedules to catch all performances while trying all the rides. Check out the map at the official website. Come early to avoid crowds and catch all the performances on time.
