It used to be good, now due to demand its decent
This place is in very close proximity to the beach, just walk 2 min from which ever facing rooms you have, and u can feel the beach sand. Rooms, they were okay, the first room i was in had a torn mattress from the bottom which was patched by a towel. Since its near the beach, i did find few bug on my bed and complained after taking picture of the bug and showing to reception. The next room, they gave was bit better, yet didn't give me confidence about the mattress and hygiene hence was skeptical and checked all of it all around. The location is where it scores, which makes it easy to access near by restaurants, malls and taxi stand walk able. The service is okay, what a budget chalet would provide, but they definitely can improve. The staff is okay, i guess they were stressed due to the busy period. The food was bad, but i think they just need to add more items and multi cuisine chef The potential for Langkapuri Inn is immense! they just need to put in their efforts in the over all experience for the guest. I sincerely hope the management / owner realizes that people love this place.. he could make it the best place in Pantai Cenang easily with out needing to increase the rates. To the ones visiting pantai cenang anytime soon, give this place a try but just dont expect to be amazed. i would also give this place another chance to satisfy me as a guest.

On the beach
Took about 20 mins to reach from the airport. Stayed in one of the Standard Sea View rooms and enjoyed thoroughly as it was right on the beach. It is fantastic for people who is looking for a very basic room close to the sea and enjoy the views. The room size was ok for 2 persons with some furnitures however the bathroom was a bit small. There was only a soap dispenser in the name of toiletries and no provision in the form of bars, etc to keep even the towel in the bathroom. The best part was that the room had a front veranda facing the sea and 2 chairs provided there and thoroughly enjoyed sitting and enjoying the views and nature from there. They have probably around 8 rooms facing the sea directly and there are other lines of rooms equally close and accessible from the beach. The room was cleaned regularly on request and was provided with fresh towels. The bed even though a bit small was ok for a comfortable sleep for me. The supply of tea coffee in the room was very limited and only a 3 in 1 coffee sachet is provided daily. There is no room service for food or drinks. The breakfast had some choices starting from cornflakes, breads, fried rice, noodles, sausages and a couple of other items. The choice of fruits at offer was very limited. Juices and tea / coffee were ok. The best was the omellette station when in operation. Tried some traditional Malay food in the restaurant and it was very good and satisfying. The best was the Special nasi goreng I had for lunch. The only problem with the restaurant was that you may not get the food you are looking for at all times. Very good location, right on the beach, lot of shops and a variety of food joints in the neighbourhood within a few metres. Money changer is available in the nearby Cenang Mall and quite a few Duty Free outlets nearby.

Idyllic location, average rooms, terrible breakfast
There are several parts to this hotel: hotel rooms including in a new multi storey building, and rooms in beachfront cottages. We stayed for a week in one of the cottages having seen them on a previous visit and falling in love with the location. Some of the cottages are just a few yards from the beach, separated by a small garden. Sitting on the patio in front is just so lovely and relaxing! The rooms itself are quite spacious but not luxurious. The main difference between standard and superior rooms is actually that superior rooms have an additional single bed i.e accommodate three people. They are not better equipped. All the basics were there. The double bed was comfortable, wifi was quite good most of the time, air con was efficient, the TV had some English language news channels, and there was a fridge for cold drinks etc. The wardrobe could have been a bit larger, but we used the extra bed to keep some of our things on. The bathroom was a simple wet room, but shower pressure was reasonable and there was always plenty of hot water. In front of the room there is a nice little patio with a table and two armchairs, looking across to the beach. The room was serviced daily, we got fresh towels every day, and bed linen was changed about every three days. Breakfast was poor. There were a few Malay dishes (rice, noodles etc) which hardly ever changed, the one juice was often watery, the cereal was very, very sweet and sometime had ants in it, the toast was spongy white bread (we bought our own from one of the bakeries), the butter (or margarine) was presented in a pot with a knife stuck in the middle. We usually just had some fruit, and our own toast. Most of the restaurant staff were incredibly lazy. If you asked for anything, the answer was usually 'it's finished' but when pressed they went to the kitchen to get whatever you needed. The reception staff where are little better, lethargic but friendly, and the housekeeping staff were a little slow but sweet. The best thing about this place is the location: right on the beach, but very close to lots of restaurants, bars and shop, and also to Langkawi Underwater World, and the adjacent duty free shopping complex.

Always my favourite
I've been to Langkawi nearly every year. So far this is my 2nd and will always be our place to stay. love the beach, the bazaar, the night bazaar, the restaurants. The beach is clean and well maintained. This is the most happening spot in Langkawi. The buffet breakfast is simple but no problem at all since the restaurants are within walking distance. Water sport activities are all here.

Best location
We re on short break before the summer break is end....we book for 2 night, but we stay here only for 1 night. It just an ordinary old motel..basic facilities what u need but the location and the sea view beach is fantastic. Walking distance to everyhing...the breakfast also okay, but we need to find another good room to stay and quality time to relax.. Will come.again if langkapuri inn the new building complete..
