Embassy Suites by Hilton San Juan Hotel and Casino

Nice hotel, but no balconies. Too far from the beach. On site restaurants are very good. The snack/drink evening social time daily is pretty cool. Breakfast was also good but repetitive. Overall, a nice hotel, but a little overpriced.

This was a brief 2.5 day respite after a very grueling 11 night cruise. I only extended my cruise by 3 days to facilitate the best flight I could find and I’m VERY glad I chose Embassy Suites by Hilton. I enjoyed the 2 drinks at happy hour and my morning custom omelette. The pool was relaxing. I enjoyed watching the lizards. Staff were always polite and courteous. The room was big and cozy. Nice shower, TV, temp controls, fridge, safe, and microwave. And being an aviation enthusiast I enjoyed being on the 6th floor of the airport side. The attached casino added a little action with some live music.

Valet was exceptional. Very friendly and very quick. Room was nice but hard beds. Noisy at night could hear everything going on in hallway; talking, elevator, opening of other doors.

I thought it was a fair price for the services received, through Expedia, there was a discount with the package. It was very family oriented which I did mind as a single traveler. The extra amenities were nice, daily free drinks, beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. The walk to the beach was a little bit a of hike but not to bad. The room was large and spacious and the overall atmosphere was positive. There were a lot of options for the daily breakfast included, it was standard food no bacon only sausage but met the need. I enjoyed access to the casino and the adjacent bar. The drinks by the pool were a little overpriced for what you got but to be expected that prices would be a higher at a resort. For the most part staff was friendly and they provided all my needs during my stay. Easy access to transportation as taxis were always available. Overall, I would stay again.

Worn out and dirty room. Rug was musty and gross. This was nowhere near the quality for the premium price and resort fee charged. Wish I had read the negative reviews more closely, instead of trusting the Hilton brand reputation. The complaints are similar and the hotel’s responses feel boilerplate.

windows have lost seal and therefore are fogged . room in 2nd floor above casino and nightclub very loud. dirty carpets throughout property. wouls not book again.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. Staff was very nice and accomodating. My room was clean, but really could use new carpeting, it was old and stained. Water in hot tub was very cloudy, not sure how often that is cleaned.
